The nearest train station is Surbiton which has a fast train from waterloo taking about 17 minutes. The island is a 10 minute walk from the station or a 2minute cab ride. Venue Over View Raven s Ait is made up of 4 private spaces and a reception area which can cater for a multitude of events, anything from a 400 people BBQ to a 280 conference to a 120 dinner and dance, or even a 16 people day delegate meeting that overlooks the serene Thames. Reception You are transported to the island on our private launches where you will then disembark at our grand steps. Entering the main building, you can use our reception area to greet your guests. This is an amazing space, stylishly decorated with bi-fold glass doors that open up onto the riverside terrace, perfect for drinks receptions. Capacities Standing: 80
Marquee Ravens Ait Marquee is the largest space on the Island, our picturesque marquee is situated at the front of the island and offers unrivalled views of the river Thames and Hampton courts grounds. With Ivory linings it offers a real blank canvas ready for you to add your own twist and make it your own. It is light and airy perfect for summer parties, conferencing and awards dinners with its own private Lawn that stretches the front of the island. Turning the heaters on in the winter it provides a stunning riverside space for Christmas festivities. The Britannia Suite The Britannia Suite is situated in the main building the suite has views of the Thames from both sides of the room with its own terrace that overlooks Hampton Court Grounds. It has it s own private bar and can cater for meetings as well as dining events. The reception space can be used as a drinks before leading into the Britannia Suite. The Thames Suite Adjoining our Reception, the Thames suite is a multi-functional space that can be either divided into two delegate rooms or opened up for larger conferences, with outstanding views across the river and on into home park. The room is decorated with natural tones and benefits from natural daylight courtesy of floor to ceiling windows along the full length of the room. Catering at Ravens Ait Here at Ravens Ait we love food and we know how important food is to our guests as well. With this in mind we have taken the time to source fantastic caterers who we have a partnership with and understand how important excellent food and service is to us and our guests. This year we have brought in our own in-house caterers each catering offers their own take on event catering and work for different budgets. Please speak to our sales team for sample menus. Raven s Ait has a fully stocked bar and can provide bespoke drinks packages anything from unlimited drinks or simple bar tabs where you can order MeanTime Ale, Bathtub Gin, bottles of Prosecco or a nice glass of Merlot. Frequently Asked Questions Where do we park? Opposite the island there is a small pay and display car park called Westfield Landings (Postcode: KT64HH.) Charge times are Monday-Saturday 8am to 6.30pm, 60p per hour. Alternatively we have a relationship with Thames Sailing club and we can arrange discounted rates to hire their car park, 50 spaces. Or you can park locally in the area or arrive by coach or train. Where is the nearest train station? The nearest train station is Surbiton which has a fast train from waterloo taking about 17 minutes. The island is a 10 minute walk from the station or a 2minute cab ride. How do I get over to the island? Don t worry we don t make you swim! We have client boats (Private Launches) for guests and work boats for equipment and suppliers. Opposite the island there is a landing with a buzzer to alert the ferryman, if you have arrived and we have not spotted you then press buzzer and we will cruise over and pick you up. The journey to the island last about 30 seconds and we have ferrymen on the island throughout you're event so your guests can come and go as they please. How many can the private launches transport over to the island? We can take across 10 people at a time and in 15 minutes can get across 70 guests. If you feel you would like a larger boat to transport your guests over (65-120) we do have negotiated rates with local boat suppliers Turks and Parrs and can help arrange this. Although it should be noted that by the time you fill a boat up with 65 people we can have shuttled across the same amount. What time can our event go on to? Our license allows us to have events up until midnight, then we allow 30 minutes for guests to gather their belongings, finish their drinks and leave the island. Our private launches will be operated until the last person is safely across to the mainland.
