THE BAY OF PLENTY MUSTANG OWNERS CLUB NEWSLETTER CLUB DRIVE MAMAKU BLUBERRY WINERY Around 12 cars met at the KFC in Te Puke before heading down to Rotorua. The weather was not great, a little rain and a lot of cold but had cleared by time we got to the Rotorua lakefront where we met up with another 6 cars. We ventured up the Mamaku s to the Mamaku Blueberry Winery. We stayed in the shop tasting all things blueberry before we went and had lunch. Quiche, potatoes, and salad followed by a blueberry pancake dessert followed by tea and coffee. Best presented car on the day was awarded to Neil and Judy Robinson. CLUB AGM The club AGM was held in May. A quick drive prior to the meeting was organised. Everyone headed off towards the Mount. Chaos rained and we had all cars going in all directions, luckily everyone made it back to the Pearson Ranch where a BBQ was held. Notable outcomes were Kelvin Pearson returning as President and Bev Thomas returning as Secretary. A big thanks to Wendy McGowan and Lynn Morgan for there services as Club President and Secretary over the past year. Great to see so many members there and thank you Kelvin & Sue for your hospitality.

Bev is updating the new phone list and will distribute this shortly. We will exceed 50 members shortly which is a great result and testament to the club growing. Best presented car on the day was awarded to Wayne Hills. Given the distance, the club is providing $200 per car for each vehicle going down. Joke # 1 GIRLS NIGHT OUT Two women friends had gone for a girl's night out. Both were very faithful and loving wives, however they had gotten over-enthusiastic on the Bacardi Breezers. Incredibly drunk and walking home they needed to pee, so they stopped in the cemetery. One of them had nothing to wipe with so she thought she would take off her panties and use them. Her friend however was wearing a rather expensive pair of panties and did not want to ruin them. She was lucky enough to squat down next to a grave that had a wreath with a ribbon on it, so she proceeded to wipe with that.after the girls did their business they proceeded to go home. The next day one of the women's husband was concerned that his normally sweet and innocent wife was still in bed hung over, so he phoned the other husband and said: 'These girl nights have got to stop! I'm starting to suspect the worst. My wife came home with no panties!! 'That's nothing 'said the other husband, 'Mine came back with a card stuck to her butt that said...'from all of us at the Fire Station. We'll never forget you. '

Joke # 2 ESTATE PLANNING Dan was a single guy living at home with his father and working in the family business. When he found out he was going to inherit a fortune when his sickly father died, he decided he needed a wife with which to share his fortune. One evening at an investment meeting he spotted the most beautiful woman he had ever seen. Her natural beauty took his breath away. 'I may look like just an ordinary man,'he said to her," but in just a few years, my father will die, and I'll inherit 20 million dollars.' Impressed, the woman obtained his business card and three days later, she became his stepmother. Women are so much better at estate planning than men. Joke # 3 - NOT XYGT 351 in need of restoration - $50k Ground-up restoration - $95k Box of beers for the boys when she is all finished - $20 Not even making it home... PRICELESS!!! Oh Shit Moment!

Joke # 4 - DEDICATION A Ford Mustang made entirely from empty beer cans was created by Jack Kirby, 23, an art and design student. He used 5,000 empty beer cans to build the awesome beer can car when he realised that Budweiser was giving away his dream car, a 1965 Ford Mustang. The life-size model 1965 Ford Mustang took a three-year effort. He had to down a Budweiser four-pack every day. "It was hard work," he said.
