P1 WelcOme to unknown 2014 1. IntRoDucTion Welcome to Unknown. We ve put together this pack with all the details you will need to have a fun and safe festival. Top things to remember 1. Travel insurance documents On the following pages, we ll let you know where to head when you arrive, so be sure to check which entrance to head to for your accommodation. Full details are on the accommodation pages! Payments We will be operating a cashless payment system at Unknown. Here are some details for you: You will be given a payment card (20kn refundable deposit). This can be topped up with Kuna to pay for all food and drink. They will be registered to your name and can be cancelled at any time if lost or stolen (as long as you have your receipt) with the balance transferred to your new card. You can top these up in Kuna by cash or debit / credit card at one of the top up points around the site. You can still use cash for merchandise, face painting and on site activities. 2. ArrIving at UnkNown What do I need? You will need the following items in order to enter the festival: Your festival ticket An accommodation booking in your name Valid photo ID Where do I go? When you arrive at Unknown, your check in point will depend on your accommodation reservation. Those staying off-site will be checked in to their accommodation and will then pick up their festival wrisbands from the wristband exchange at the festival site. For all those travelling on airport transfers, please ensure you depart the coach at the correct location.
P2 For those with pre-booked car parking passes, you will need to exchange your e-ticket for your parking permit at Entrance A Amarin where the car park is located. Check In for ALL accommodation is from 14:00 23:00 If you are arriving after 23:00 please email latecheckin@unknowncroatia.com with your expected arrival time and we will arrange for you to check in at that time. Please note that it may not be possible to check in after this time without confirmation in advance. AirPort TraNsFers To contact the transfer team in case of emergency, please use the following: T: E: transfers@unknowncroatia.com What do I need? When you arrive in to your airport, you will need the following: Airport Transfer e-ticket (You will have one per journey, so please print both out if you have booked both ways) If you ve not received this, please email support@eventgenius.co.uk Photo ID Arriving in to your airport There will be an Unknown rep who will be at the arrivals hall with an Unknown sign directing customers to the coach, which will be parked nearby outside. The coach will display an Unknown sign in the front window so should be easy to notice. Your e-ticket will be checked and you ll be admitted on to the coach. Next stop, Unknown! Arriving at Unknown The airport transfers will head to four locations upon arriving in to Rovinj. These will correspond to your accommodation booking (see accommodation section). P3 Please be sure to check which stop you will be checking in to your accommodation. There may not be transport provided between these locations. Leaving Unknown All airport transfers will depart from Entrance A Amarin Entrance. There will not be any departures from any other points, so please aim to arrive at least 45 minutes before your transfer is scheduled to depart. Please allow sufficient time to travel from your accommodation to Entrance A. There are further details regarding the check out process in the accommodation section but please allow time for your deposit to be returned to you in case of any issues. General Info We have airport transfers scheduled from the following airports to Unknown: Pula, Rijeka, Trieste, Zagreb, Ljubljana, Venice Marco Polo, Venice Treviso, Verona The transfer duration depends on ferry schedules and stopovers. For some journeys there is the possibility of combining transfers (Venice Treviso Venice Marco Polo Trieste Unknown) depending on the capacity of the buses. In case of any delay Unknown will not be held responsible for missed flights, trains, buses or any other means of transport. If you miss your transfer because you are late you will be required to pay the full price for the next available transfer. The safety of our travellers is of the upmost importance to us and it is not permitted to travel under the influence of alcohol or for alcohol to be consumed on the transfers. It is not possible to make amendments to airport transfers after Thursday 21st August 2014. All airport transfers will be taken off-sale around 2 days before the departure online although return transfers will be available for purchase from Entrance A Amarin Entrance for available return transfers. 4. AccOmModAtion Camping & Boutique Camping Where to head: Entrance A Amarin Entrance Check in for camping will take place at Entrance A, so for all those who have camping reservations will need to head there with your ticket, photographic ID and your accommodation e-ticket. You will be given your festival wristband and you will then be directed the short walk to the campsite reception where you will be checked in and then you can head off to camp! For those who have reserved Boutique Camping, you will need to go to the Boutique Camping reception. Look out for the wonderful Bellepads just behind the main campsite. You will be able to check in to the campsite from 14:00-23:00. Extras! If you have ordered a tent in advance you will pick this up at the campsite reception. Just bring your e-ticket when you check in. Check out for the campsite is by 10:00 on the day of your departure, so you will need to have your belongings all packed up by then. Campsite Tips The staff at the campsite reception are there for you! If you have any questions please do go see them and they will be happy to help. Tents are not provided unless you have purchased one in advance. We wouldn t have any tents available at the campsite so please order in advance or bring your own.
P4 It has been known to rain in Rovinj in September, so we d recommend bringing some plastic bags and waterproofs should it rain to keep your belongings nice and dry. There are lockers available at the campsite reception as well as phone chargers but these are fairly limited. We d recommend bringing a portable charger if you are able to and try to reduce the amount of valuables you have with you to a minimum. There are cash machines on site and you can top up your payment cards by card too. There are no open fires allowed, so please don t create a bonfire. Small gas camping stoves are absolutely fine though. Please leave the area as you found it so use bin bags provided and clear away any rubbish. Check out for your apartment is by 10:00 on the day of your departure, so you will need to have your belongings all packed up by then and head to the reception where your deposit will be returned. The reception is open 24 hours but please allow enough time to check out of your apartment if you have an airport transfer booked as there can be queues at busy periods.
P5 2* Hotel Valdaliso & Forest Lodges Where to head: Entrance B Valdaliso Entrance Check in for the on-site 2* Hotel Valdaliso & Forest Lodges will take place at Entrance B, and you will need to head there with the following: Festival Ticket Accommodation e-ticket 150kn deposit for each member of your group (by card or cash). This will be returned upon check out unless there has been damage to the apartments (please see House Rules). You will be given your festival wristband and then you need to make the short walk to Hotel Valdaliso reception where they will finalise your check in and direct you to your room or Forest Lodge. You will be able to check in to your accommodation from 14:00-23:00. Check out for your apartment is by 10:00 on the day of your departure, so you will need to have your belongings all packed up by then and head to the reception where your deposit will be returned. The reception is open 24 hours but please allow enough time to check out of your property if you have an airport transfer booked as there can be queues at busy periods and the transfers all depart from Entrance A, so you will need to allow time to make your own way there. 2* & 3* Apartments Rovinj Where to head: Rovinj Bus Station Check in for the off-site 2* & 3* Apartments Rovinj takes place at the check in point at Rovinj Bus Station, and you will need to head there with the following: Accommodation e-ticket 150kn deposit for each member of your group (by card or cash). This will be returned upon check out unless there has been damage to the apartments (please see House Rules). You will be able to check in to your accommodation from 14:00-23:00.
P6 To get your festival wristband, you will need to go to Entrance B Valdaliso Entrance with the following: Festival ticket Bus wristband The lead booker will need all three items to pick up any tickets and be admitted to the festival. Check out for your apartment is by 10:00 on the day of your departure. Please liaise with the apartment owner to inform them of your departure time so they can arrange with you for your deposit will be returned. If you have an airport transfer booked, all transfers will depart from Entrance A on site, so you will need to allow time to make your own way there. 3* Villas Rubin Where to head: Villas Rubin Check in for the off-site 3* Apartments Villas Rubin takes place at the reception for Villas Rubin, and you will need to head there with the following: Accommodation e-ticket 150kn deposit for each member of your group (by card or cash). This will be returned upon check out unless there has been damage to the apartments (please see House Rules). You will be able to check in to your accommodation from 14:00-23:00. P7 5. AccOmModAtion HouSe RulEs We want everyone to have fun at Unknown, but with all accommodation booked through our platform, there are some general rules we have to enforce to ensure things run smoothly All of the accommodation options at Unknown have some common House Rules, which are detailed below. We do ask that you respect these rules, as failure to do so may result in your accommodation being cancelled. Should this happen, you would not be entitled to any partial refunds or any contribution towards further accommodation purchased. Check in for apartments will only be from 14:00 23:00 on the date of your booking. If you are arriving on a different day / out of the check in times you will need to let us know by emailing latecheckin@unknowncroatia.com. Check out will be 10:00 on the date of your departure. Only guests who have been properly registered and accept the House Rules can stay in the accommodation. All guests are responsible for their own behaviour and are liable for any damages caused. Damage compensation is determined by the price list which is available at the reception. Neither Unknown nor the accommodation owner can be held responsible for any lost or stolen belongings or valuables while staying in any property. If you have any issues with any area of your accommodation please report this to the reception for your property or report it to the accommodation team on. Failure to report any issues at the time will affect our ability to resolve your situation after Unknown. We would like to acquaint you with the house rules to make your stay enjoyable. For all information please contact the reception desk / owner / agency. All accommodation is available to the guest from 14:00. If the accommodation is ready earlier, the guest can check in before 14:00. The guest is required to provide photographic ID for each guest staying in the property. Only guests who have been properly registered and accept the House Rules can stay in the accommodation. It is not permitted to bring any animals or pets in to the accommodation. It is forbidden to damage apartment property, cause noise or disturb other guests. Visitors are only allowed in the lobby and common premises of the accommodation. The reception staff are at your service 24 hours a day. We do ask that you leave the apartment in the same condition as when you checked in. Please do not take towels, blankets or any other items to the beach. Entrance to the pool is free of charge to all guests. Please look after the accommodation, as you will be responsible for any damage caused.
P8 There are no open fires allowed in the campsite. Smoking is only allowed in communal areas, so please no smoking in any bedrooms. Look out for details of fire regulations and follow these accordingly. The resort is not responsible for valuables stored in a safe or in the accommodation unit. In case of loss of personal belongings from the accommodation unit, the guest is required to notify the reception immediately. When you leave your accommodation each day, please ensure doors and windows are locked and that all appliances (air conditioning etc.) and utilities (water, lights and gas) are turned off. You will be required to give a security deposit of 150kn per person when you check in to cover any possible damage to the accommodation. This will be returned in full at check out providing there are no missing items or damage caused. On the day of departure, the guest must leave the accommodation unit by 10:00, pay the costs of used services and return the key / card to the reception. The House Rules are an integral part of terms and conditions what guests are requested to read and sign as an indication of their acceptance. In case of violation of the House Rules, the facility may refuse hospitality to the guest, charge the cost of accommodation, or damage and deny access to the facility. The complaints book is available at the reception. 6. LocAl TraNsPort Festival Shuttle Bus The shuttle bus is free to all those who have booked off-site accommodation through Unknown and you will receive an unlimited travel wristband when you check in to your accommodation. P9 Local Boat Service There is also a boat service taking you from Amarin pier (in the festival site) to Rovinj port. Boat ParTies There will be a shuttle bus departing from Entrance B Valdaliso to transport you to Rovinj port. You will need your e-ticket and photo ID in order to board the boat. WHEN TO ARRIVE FOR BOAT PARTIES Boat Time 4:00pm Please note that these times are set so that you can be transported to Rovinj pier and board the boat safely in time for the departure time. You will need to be at the meeting point at the time above or you may miss the boat party. Please note the cashless payment cards won t be accepted on the boats, the bar will accept Croatian Kuna only You are not able to bring any drinks on to the boat, you will be searched for alcohol before boarding. No jumping in to the sea from the boat / pier. You will have your wristband taken off you and you will not be allowed in to the festival. 7. IslAnD ParTies Mon 8th Sept Meet at Entrance B - Valdaliso 3:00pm Boat Time 1:00pm 5:00pm Tue 9th Sept Fri 12th Sept Meet at Entrance B - Valdaliso 12:00pm 4:00pm The island parties are all sold out, and will take place on Island Katarina. These will run from 2pm 8pm on Tuesday / Wednesday and Thursday. There will then be a boat service to take you from the pier in the festival site to the island party location. This will depart at 1:20pm. Please note, that there will only be access to the island at the designated times and it will not be possible to depart the island before the end of the island party. 1. Pool parties run from 2:00pm 8:00pm. 2. Admittance to all island parties are only to ticket holders. 3. You will need your e-ticket and photographic ID to be admitted to the party. 4. There will be a full bar on the island accepting Kuna and card payments. 5. Be careful with drinking in the sun for long periods and please drink lots of water.
