OPŠTINA KOTOR VAROŠ PRIRODNI POTENCIJALI OPŠTINE KOTOR VAROŠ Voda - Nezagađeni izvori pitke vode koji mogu da se koriste za proizvodnju vode za piće - Potencijali za ribolov, "Fly Fishing" i drugi dragulji prirode - Voda i hidroenergetski potencijal reke Vrbanje može se efikasno iskoristiti kroz izgradnju mini- hidroelektrana. -Za izgradnju mini-hidroelektrana u slivu rijeke Vrbanje, dodijeljeno je 13 koncesija od strane Vlade Republike Srpske, od toga 12 na području opštine Kotor Varoš -Do sada je izgrađena jedna, koja je prva u Bosni i Hercegovini 6

OPŠTINA KOTOR VAROŠ PRIRODNI POTENCIJALI OPŠTINE KOTOR VAROŠ Šuma - Mogućnost izrade gotovog proizvoda od drveta, - Šume i površine pod šumom zauzimaju 31,762 hektara teritorije Opštine Kotor-Varoš. - Ovo područje karakteriše veliki broj različitih tipova šuma, kao što su hrast, bukva, jela, smrča i omorika. Mineralni resursi - Područje Opštine je poznato po nalazištima uglja, a tu su i mangan, krečnjak, arhitektonski ukrasni kamen, glina i kvarcne naslage na planinama Uzlomac i Borja 7

OPŠTINA KOTOR VAROŠ Povoljnosti za investitore Obrazovanje i kadrovi: Srednjoskolski centar Nikola Tesla: gimnazija, ekonomski tehničar, pravni tehničar, mašinski tehničar, kožarsko-obućarski tehničar, tehničar za finalnu obradu drveta, šumarski tehničari, turistički tehničari, mašinbravar, drvoprerađivač, kuvari, konobari, šumari (150 maturanata godišnje). Ostali obrazovni profili se školuju u obližnjoj Banja Luci Veliki broj mladih nastavlja obrazovanje na visokoškolskim ustanovama u Banja Luci i regionu, te na magistarskim i doktorskim studijama (preko 30 visokoškolovanih kadrova svake godine). 13
