Day 1 Welcome to Buenos Aires! You will be met on arrival and transferred to your Hotel Time to relax before meeting your new friends and our Local Representative for a Welcome Dinner with beer, wine & soft drinks included at Clarks Steak House Restaurant (or similar) Recoleta grand Hotel, Buenos Aires (or similar) D Day 2 After breakfast, you will enjoy city tour of Buenos Aires. With your Local Tour Guide you will discover the Buenos Aires considered as the Reina del Plata, the capital of Argentina. Starting the tour around the center of the city where the most attractive places are located: Av. 9 de Julio, Colón Theatre and the Obelisk, the symbol of Buenos Aires. We will continue towards Plaza de Mayo and later to the south of the city passing trough San Telmo with its tanguerías, La Boca and Caminito. Continuing to Puerto Madero, the renewed port of the city and important gastronomic area. We will also visit the biggest green space of Buenos Aires, Palermo, with its parks and buildings and last Recoleta Cemetrary where Eva Peron and other notable figures in the history of Argentina are buried. Tonight you will be transferred to enjoy an Evening Tango Show & Dinner at El Querandi: This is an intimate & passionate tango show, housed in a cozy woodpanelled 19th century building with a colourful history as a meeting point for poets and students in the heart of Buenos Aires s historic centre. After being abandoned in the late 1970s, the bar was restored and reopened in 1992 as El Querandí Tango Hall. The show is directed by Claudio Campos, with musical arrangements by Ado Falasca, and it smoothly charts the history of Argentina s most authentic artistic expression from its origins to the modern day. The dinner is better than many, and at just over an hour long, the show is the perfect length. The three house singers, six dancers and 4 musicians put on a great show. Day 4 You will be met and transferred to the Airport for your morning flight to Puerto Iguazú. On arrival you will be met and transferred to your Hotel In the afternoon you will tour by bus with our Local Tour Guide from the Visitor Centre to the Brazilian Falls. Macuco is the first bus stop: a short trail that runs across the rainforest into a 25 mts waterfall: the Macuco Fall. After Macuco the bus goes 1 km stopping at diverse observation posts that offer sights of the Falls. Iguassu falls are the greatest waterfalls in the world, situated on the borders of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay in South America. The falls consist of 275 cascades spread nearly 2 miles including the famous Devil s Throat. Iru Mercure, Puerto Iguazú (or similar) B Day 5 After breakfast, with your Local Tour Guide you will experience the Argentinean Side of the Falls. The Argentine Falls tour takes longer since the inauguration of the new facilities for the Upper, Lower and the Devil s Throat Circuits. Visitors first arrive to the New Visitors Center where you walk the Nature s Interpretation Center. From the Visitors Center you can board the train that goes first to Cataratas Station in about 8 minutes or take a short walk through the Green Trail that leads to the beginning of the path towards the Upper and Lower trails. Otherwise the same train goes on to Garganta Station. Once you have finished the circuits, you must go back to the Visitors Center where the vehicles are waiting for the transfer to the hotel. Tonight you will enjoy a Wine Cocktail Experience and Dinner at The Argentine Experience which offers a unique dining experience which cleverly blends exquisite food and wine, local culture and social integration. Day 6 Today you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Rio de Janiero You will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel in Copacabana. Arena Copacabana Hotel, Rio de Janiero (or similar) B Day 7 With your Local Tour Guide you will take full day Tour on a scenic drive from Copacabana beach, continuing along Botafogo beach and passing the Palácio Guanabara, official residence of the Rio de Janeiro State Governor, on the way to Corcovado Hill (704m), and the greatest national icon The Christ Redeemer of Rio de Janeiro. Here, you will have time to enjoy panoramic views of Rio and appreciate the giant statue, which was recently named as one of the seven new wonders of the world. The tour then continues on to the district of Urca and the world famous Sugar Loaf. Here, you will board the first cable car to the top of Urca Hill (215m), which offers spectacular views of Guanabara Bay. A second cable car will take you on to the Sugar Loaf (395m), giving you a chance to take in the spectacular 360 degree views of the City and surrounds. Upon descending from the Sugarloaf, you will pass through the famous beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema en route to a traditional Brazilian lunch in a local restaurant. Following lunch, the tour continues with a visit to the Maracanã Stadium (Bellini s statue and Hall of Fame. The entry into the stadium is not included) and a stop at the Sambadrome (the stadium for the city s main Carnival parade). In the City s historic downtown area, passengers will have a chance to see the Duque de Caxias Palace, Itamaraty Palace, Tiradentes Square and Lapa Arches, followed by a visit the Metropolitan Cathedral. After passing through Cinelandia, with its 18th century French architectural influence, the tour continues towards the Church of St. Benedict. Built by the Benedictine Order in the seventeenth century, the church s magnificent gold-plated interior decoration reflects the apogee of Brazilian baroque. From here the tour will also make a quick stop for passengers to visit Selaron Stairs, an amazing urban work of art by the late Jorge Selaron. On way back to your Hotel, along Aterro do Flamengo, you will see the Museum of Modern Art, the Monument to the Fallen in World War II, the Church of the Outeiro da Glória, the beaches of Flamengo and Botafogo. Day 8 Today with your Local Tour Guide you will head out into the city for a surprising local experience like no other. This will be the ultimate opportunity to see the city from an alternative perspective that most tourists bypass in their short time here.
