Enjoy the gorgeous views of palm trees along the coastal road until you reach the village of Sekinchan. Sekinchan is a small farming and fishing village known for their supply of fresh seafood. See the padi fields and padi processing factory where you can learn how rice is planted and harvested. Proceed to Kuala Selangor, a town approximately 30 minutes from Sekinchan. Head to a local restaurant to feast on a delicious seafood lunch. After lunch, visit historic Melawati Hill, famously the home of the mischevious silvered leaf monkey. The hill, which some refer to as Bukit Selangor, was a fort built in the 1700s by the second Sultan of Selangor. Cannons placed along the Melawati Fort were to defend Selangor from the invading Dutch but the Dutch successfully invaded and took over the fort, after which they reinforced it with better cannons which are the ones you see now. It was called Fort Altingsburg when the Dutch were in power. Poisoned Well It contained poison from a mixture of latex and bamboo shoots and the water was then filled up to the chin of the traitor. 7
On reaching the top of the hill, you will be greeted by a beautiful lighthouse called Altingsburg Lighthouse. Built in 1907 it was named after the then Dutch Governor. It is still in use today.
