Guest Speakers: Andre Meyer. A Game Rangers Tale Of Africa Chairman Jenni introduced guest speaker Andre Meyer and his wife Yvonne who presented a fascinating insight into the life of a game ranger and tour guide in the vast expanses and wonderfully diverse countries of Africa. Andre and Yvonne spent several years working in the tourist industry in Africa prior to migrating to Australia to start a family. They met whilst still in their teens and formed a successful partnership tour guiding throughout Africa. The following photos will provide some understanding of the wonderful landscape, fauna and flora experienced by the people on safaris. Andre commented that Australian tourist often felt more at home than others drawing parallels to the many similarities with Australian outback landscape and wildlife especially the birds.
