The front (North) elevaton was orgnally domnated by a pyramdal tower above the comer bay. (The tower's roof peak was later removed). A one story entry veranda starts at the northeast corner and contnues to the protruson of the corner bay. (Approxmately one-thrd of the elevatons's total wdth). A matchng sde porch (west elevaton) creates a secondary entry. The roofs of both'the veranda and sde porch are supported by Greek Dorc columns and a smple entablature. The steeply ptched roof was orgnally wood shngled but has snce been replaced by asphalt composton type shngles. The roofs four gable ends, a mansard wall area to the rear, and a small mansard band over the -* veranda, sde porch and around the projectng bay reman covered wth the orgnal mbrcated wood shngles. The gable ends are decorated by round wooden louvered vents. The smply trmmed wooden wndows are double hung wth a sngle upper and'lower 'lght..all exteror doors.are decoratve wth enrched wood trm and large glass lghts (n some cases staned glass) and transoms. Some plan changes have occured -n the rear servce areas but wth the excepton of room fnshes (modern carpet, wall paper, etc.) the nteror appears much as t dd orgnally. Many early lght fxtures reman, as do orgnal plaster cornce and celng rosettes; the man spral star, wth t's florally trmmed square oak newel posts and turned oak balusters; and oak nteror doors and mllwork.
