Deposit soid human waste in cat hoes dug 6-8 inches into soi, at east 100 metres (300 feet) from water, camp, trais and drainages. Do not deposit harmfu materias into watercourses. Do not cut down or remove ive trees or any native vegetation. Where possibe, keep a vehices parked on deveoped roads or trais. Keep noise down to an acceptabe eve. Compaints of noise or other disturbance may resut in an order to vacate the site. Limit the use and number of campfires and fire rings. Use Weed Free feed for horses to avoid the introduction of invasive pants. Contro pets at a times to avoid conficts with widife. For the safety of both widife and humans, pease do not feed the animas. Fire Safety Open fires must be used wisey. Even a sma campfire has the potentia to become a widfire. Take extra care when seecting a site, preparing your campfire and putting your fire out. EASY TIPS TO PREVENT WILDFIRES Use campfire faciities if avaiabe. If possibe, use portabe camping stoves or fire pits. If your campsite does not have a campfire faciity, buid your fire on rocks and sand, in an open area. Keep your fire sma. Never eave your campfire unattended. When extinguishing your campfire, soak it with water, stir the ashes, then soak it again. YOUR CAMPFIRE IS NOT OUT UNTIL YOU CAN TOUCH IT.
BearSmart Camp Tips Be Scents-ibe about bears! Bears have a keen sense of sme. Careessy stored food, an uncean campsite or tabe scraps are open invitations to bears. Pitch tents away from dense bushes or trees, akeshore, stream banks and anima trais. Separate your cooking area from your seeping area. Avoid seeping in cothes you wore whie cooking. Be sure pepper spray is accessibe, even when you seep. Store food propery. Hang suppies between two trees with a rope, 3-4 metres off the ground and at east 100 metres away from your camp. Never store food or persona toietries (toothpaste, soap, deodorant, etc.) in your tent. Dispose of food propery. Never burn or bury food scraps.
