Elsinboro Township News and 2018 Calendar A Clean Community Dear Residents, Your Township Committee would like to wish all Elsinboro residents a happy and healthy New Year. We pledge to continue to do all that we can to keep your cost of living as low as possible. The following are some reminders and new information that we want to share with you. Bulk and Branches will continue to be picked up during the first week of each month. Major trimming and tree removal must be contracted by owner and removed at owners expense. Please call clerk to be added to the list. ALL recycled items will continue to be picked up every other Monday. This includes all paper products, cardboard, cans, aluminum, glass & tin cans. READ GREEN INSERT FOR ADDITIONAL DETAILS. REMINDER: 9-1-1 is to be used in EMERGENCY situations only! For non-emergency police, call police 935-7300. Clerks Hours Tues. 9am-6pm and Thurs. 1:30pm to 4:30pm Tax Collector Hours Mon. & Wed. 12:00pm - 6:00pm Note: All house numbers must be visible day and night for 911. All Recycling containers and trash containers must be 6ft. apart when put out for pick up. Containers should also not block access to mail box. Bulk : Stickers for bulk are required and can be purchased at the Clerk s office. Items should be placed at curbside no earlier than Monday of Bulk Week. Bulk is 2 days only, refer to calendar for exact days. Call Township Clerk to schedule bulk pick-up. : It is illegal for any unauthorized person to remove any recyclable materials from curbside when placed out for collection. Violators will be prosecuted under Ord. 90-6. Adopt-A-Road Program: Call Clerk for details. Radon Testing Information: Available at the Township Clerk s Office 935-2200. Convenience Center The Convenience Center, Located on Pecks Corner Road (Just past the General Store, will be open to Elsinboro Township Residents on Wednesdays from 5:00pm until 7:00pm and Saturdays from 9:00am until 3:00pm for the disposal of recyclable materials, white goods, oil and old car batteries. Please remember that you must obtain a sticker for your vehicle from the Elsinboro Township Clerk (on Tuesday 9:00am-6:00pm and Thursday 1:30pm-4:30pm) prior to taking items to the Convenience Center. (No tires will be accepted) USED MOTOR OIL: May be taken to the Convenience Center. Only oil will be accepted! Any other liquid mixed in with oil will contaminate the entire tank, making disposal extremely costly (No antifreeze, No transmission fluid, or other contaminating substance.) Residents may take their own bulk. Minimum charge.06 cents per lb. No recyclables will be accepted. May take tires, white goods, concrete, trash, etc. Items must be covered with Tarp available at the Clerk s office.
