Shadows and Light: Grand Canyon Photography ITINERARY Day 1 Welcome to Arizona Day 2 The Grandest of Them All Day 3 Navajo Nation Day 4 The North Rim Day 5 East Rim Day 6 Homeward Bound The Grand Canyon fills me with awe. It is beyond comparison beyond description; absolutely unparalleled throughout the wide world. Let this great wonder of nature remain as it now is. Do nothing to mar its grandeur, sublimity and loveliness. You cannot improve on it. But what you can do is to keep it for your children, your children s children, and all who come after you, as the one great sight America should see. President Theodore Roosevelt, 1903 From the first moments of sunrise to the final moments of dusk, shadows and light are in perpetual motion. On this six-day expedition through the Southwest, with the Grand Canyon as your canvas, capture moments from expansive to intimate as nature reveals its ever-changing beauty. With one-on-one guidance and encouragement from your L.A. Times expert, Mark Boster, hone your photo skills and develop new techniques. As you travel from the incomparable South Rim to the less traversed North Rim to the haunting beauty of Antelope Canyon, your lens will be at the ready to capture this ephemeral interplay where each moment tells a story. 2
