Saturday, November 4th, 2017 at 7:05 PM Girl Scout Night with the Fargo Force - General Information TICKETS: The designated Girl Scout Leader listed on the registration form will need to check in at the Scout table at the arena for their troop/group tickets. The check-in table will be located in the lower lobby of the Scheels Arena. You will receive your ticket(s), meal voucher(s), and patch(s) at that time. All tickets will be available starting at 5:45 pm. We would highly suggest being checked in by 6:30 pm. Any tickets not picked up by 6:45 p.m. will be available at the Will Call booth. If the troop/group is meeting at the arena, please ensure all girls know the name of the GS Leader or of the person they are meeting and their troop number. All scouts should be walked in by an adult no drop-offs please. Once a Scout enters the arena, she will not be allowed to leave unless accompanied by an adult. ICE SKATES/ROLLER BLADES: There are no ice skates or roller blades to rent. You will need to bring your own. Ice skaters should also bring along gloves to wear on the ice. When you arrive at the game, bring your ice skates and roller blades into the arena and drop them in the boxes near Guest Services located in the upper lobby to your left. They will hold them until open skating starts. Please leave all other overnight gear in your vehicle unless it is personal medications. MEDICATIONS: Personal medications should be kept with the GS Leader and dispensed through a First Aider. First Aiders will be available during the entire event. MEAL VOUCHERS: Vouchers are good for hot dog/chips/drink OR hamburger/chips/drink. Food stands accepting the meal vouchers will have signs posted. SHOW YOUR GIRL SCOUT SPIRIT!: Remember to wear your uniforms to the game and bring Fan Spirit signs to get on the video boards. These signs must be made before arriving. When displaying your sign during the game, please avoid blocking others view of the rink. We suggest that signs be no larger than 20 x 24. We will be sitting together in reserved seating so be creative and colorful to get the video camera s attention. GIRL SCOUTS S.W.A.P.S.: Bring along your Girl Scout S.W.A.P.S. to exchange with other Girl Scouts. You can make just a few, or you can contact us after November 1st for a head count if you want to ensure enough to swap with everyone! If you need help with S.W.A.P.S. ideas, try one of these websites for inspiration, or search other sites on the internet: www.girlscouts.org/who_we_are/facts/swaps/ www.makingfriends.com/scouts/swap_scouts.htm www.myswapscollection.com/ PLAYER MEET & GREET: After the game, Fargo Force players will meet with the Scouts, and the girls will have the opportunity for autographs and photos. Please pay attention to the announcements after the game for the designated meeting place.
ICE SKATING/ROLLERBLADING: We ask that the girls be respectful of Scheels Arena property and stay out of private suites and all other areas that haven t been designated for our use. Ice skaters need to listen to the announcements following the game and follow the signs to the room where skaters can get their skates on. Rollerblading will begin immediately following the player Meet & Greet. For everyone s safety and to avoid congestion on the concourse, please help enforce this rule. Ice skating and rollerblading will finish at approximately 11:30 p.m., and those who purchased the game only package will be asked to leave at that time. OVERNIGHT ACTIVITIES: After skating has ended, those staying overnight can go to their vehicles to bring in their gear and start setting up for the night. Leaders can bring their vehicles closer to the south arena doors for easier access to unload, and may leave them there overnight. Snack and the movie will start around midnight. This is a lock-in event. There will be new crafts set out after midnight, a scavenger hunt in the middle of the night, and games and movies available all night long. Lights will be turned off on the concourse around 3:00 a.m. for those who would like to sleep. If a leader plans to sleep, the girls they are in charge of must be sleeping as well. The Arena does have all-night emergency lighting in place that cannot be turned off. Pop-up tents are allowed for your Camping on the Concourse fun! (They also help block out all-night emergency lighting.) The leaders listed on the registration form are responsible for the girls listed on the registration form. Running through the building without supervision will not be permitted. Please be aware that there may be male volunteers at this event. They are all registered Girl Scout members and have all had background checks. COLD-WEATHER GEAR: The Scheels Arena temperature is maintained to keep the ice from melting. This means the warmer it is outside, the cooler it is in the Arena. Those who choose to sleep will be on the concourse (a concrete floor). Please make sure that all girls bring the appropriate warm clothing and sleeping gear. We also would highly recommend no electronics at this event. We are not responsible for lost or damaged cell phones, digital cameras, ipods, etc. If you do bring these items, please have them welllabeled with names of owners. SUNDAY MORNING: Departure by 8 a.m. We will serve a continental breakfast. As Girl Scouts, our golden rule is: always leave the area better than we found it. Please clean up your camping area before you leave the building.
