DAY 1: CASABLANCA (ARRIVAL) Arrival at Mohamed V airport. Welcome and assistance by Hibiscus Travel staff and English speaking tour guide. Transfer to the hotel by an air conditioned bus. Lunch in a local restaurant on the sea side. Visit of Casablanca the economic capital and the largest city of the kingdom. Continue with visiting the Habous district, or nouvelle medina, is Morocco- lite - an idealised, almost toy-town, version of a traditional medina with neat little rows of streets and shop stalls. The district was built by the French in the 1930s as an attempted solution to the ongoing housing shortage. It marries the best of traditional Moroccan architecture with modern facilities and French ideals. 1
Visit the place Mohammed V, the exterior of royal palace and the residential district of Anfa. Dinner & overnight at the hotel. DAY 2: CASABLANCA / RABAT After breakfast, visit of the majestic Hassan II Mosque. It is the largest mosque in the country and the 7th largest in the world. Its minaret is the world's tallest at 210 metres Completed in 1993. Lunch at a local restaurant. Departure to Rabat. City tour: the administrative capital of the kingdom. Visit of the royel Palace (Mechouar). Then visit of Chellah, located along the marsh and Bouregreg River, near the royal palace in Rabat, the remains of the necropolis of Chellah which is a beautiful and unique historical monument. 2
Dinner & overnight at the hotel. Day 3: RABAT / MARRAKECH Breakfast at the hotel. Visit of Mohamed V mausoleum, Hassan tower and Kasbah des Oudayas that is a beautiful military base that captivates visitors with its calm and light Lunch at a local restaurant. Departure to Marrakech imperial city founded by the Almoravids in the XII century and nicknamed as the pearl of south or the Red City. Marrakech is the home of prestigious monuments bearing witness to history. Dinner & overnight at the hotel. Day 4: MARRAKECH Breakfast at hotel. Full day visit of Marrakech, Historical visit of the Bahia palace, built in the late 19th century, intended to be the greatest palace of its time, then visit of the Saadians Tombs, date back from the time of the sultan Ahmed al Mansour (1578-1603). The tombs were only recently discovered (in 1917) and were restored by the Beaux-arts services. 3
Lunch at a local restaurant On the afternoon, visit of Ben Youssef School, an Islamic school known by its beautiful art and architecture. Visit of the souks sources of temptations, regrouping different works and business: Cabinetmakers, ironware merchants, boiler makers, then the Koutoubia, an architectural masterpiece showing the remarkable design of the period. The visit continues to the famous Jamâa El fna square known to be a place of public execution until last century. Today it provides constant ever changing entertainment, which is more alive in the sunset and continues late in the night. The square is centre for public meetings and even riots, where story tellers, snake charmers, acrobats, folkloric bands, etc... are operating daily. 4
Option: Visit of Marrakech gardens by horse drawn carriage. The ride tour includes the Menara Garden, the ramparts and the Majorelles Gardens. Menara Garden: 6 centuries old olive grove spread on more than 80 hectares, with a big pool located in the middle fascinating the visitors by its size and form. It was founded by the Yacoub EL Mansour, a great king belonging to the Almohades Dynasty. Majorelles Garden: Was founded by the painter Jean-Jacques Majorelles who invented a special blue (Blue of Majorelle), it contains a superb collection of Cactus, roses, and lot of other plants imported from around the world.
