Late this afternoon head out to a special location for a view of Uluru as the sunsets. You will be welcomed at a raised viewing area to watch the last rays of sun hit Uluru as the sun slowly sets behind you. As darkness gradually falls witness 50,000 coloured spheres come to life before your eyes in the display known as the Field of Lights. Returning to the raised viewing area 30 minutes prior to departure for sparkling wine and canapes whilst viewing the illuminated installation in the darkness. Dinner tonight is at your leisure. While the morning is fresh enjoy a walk around the base of the rock, gaining insights into the land and the local Mala Aboriginal people on an interpretive cultural walk with an Aboriginal guide. Once you ve had lunch, perhaps purchase some Indigenous art and craft at the Uluru Cultural Centre. We then head off to Kata Tjuta. Spend some time here wandering around the site s red rock domes on a guided walk, then finish the day toasting the outback s famous Uluru sunset. Transfer back to the hotel and enjoy dinner at leisure followed by a performance by Rodney where you can sing along and have a dance on the dance floor. Day 5 Saturday 24 March 2018 (B, L) Drive to Coober Pedy Enjoy breakfast at the hotel this morning, check out of your room and settle all incidental charges and board the bus for the southbound trip through to Coober Pedy. Travel across the border into South Australia and visit the town of Marla for a rest stop en route to Coober Pedy. Arrive Coober Pedy and check in to the underground Desert Caves Hotel.
