There is twenty-four-hour reception and no lockout time. If you don't already have one, it's adviseable to buy a hostel card because it works out to be quite expensive if you intend to stay more than one night. The rooms are a good size and clean. Each has a sink and lockers (with a returnable deposit) in a joining room and bedding is included in the price. There are separate gender toilets and the showers are separate cubicles. Again all very clean and nice and bright! Facilities at the hostel are good. Breakfast is included and there is a fairly decent choice. It finishes at 9:30 though. There is also the option of dinner for a Hostelz.com Poll Which do you use for opinions when choosing a hostel? There is a large common room area with pool table, pinball machine, and bar. It is however not really a backpacker-type hostel, as it is a bit spread out so people keep to themselves. Snacks and transport tickets are available at reception amongst other things. Internet access is good, and there is also a webcam at each of the four computers. Getting to the hostel is easy enough once you have worked out the main train station! Take the number 7 tram to stop Morgental. From there is is a five-minute walk (turn back on yourself and take the left fork of the road) or you can take the bus 33 which stops opposite the hostel. Overall, the hostel has everything you would need and good access to the city. -- Exclusive Hostelz.com Review Not sure / don't understand Other: Submit Features 24 Hour Free Hot Showers Pool Table Washing Machine (laundry) Lounge / Common space Travel information provided Lockers Bar Food/Restaurant Gameroom Free Breakfast Phones (public or in room) Elevator/Lift

Comment by jing August 2006 quiet location but it is very convenient to get around thanks to the extensive tram network. i recommend taking the s-bahn as it is a much easier walk than climbing the steep slope from the train station. the rooms are tight but the beds are firm and the sheets smell nice. i particularly liked their quilted blankets! i've travelled around asia and north america, and i must say this is the most luxurious hostel in which i've ever lived. Comment by Martin May 2006 Awesome place great food and super beer. Comment by Jeetu India April 2006 It's a good hostel, the transportation is nearby and the best thing about the hostel is its culture. I say everyone should try at least once to see the atmosphere here. Comment by Paula July 2005 This hostel has everything you could want and was one of my top three. After reading some of the other comments I was a little surprised that people had found the staff unfriendly to me they were extremely polite and helpful. Breakfast is great, the bedrooms are comfortable and, like other people noted, the place is immaculate. One thing though don't do your laundry there, it takes hours! Comment by Anonymous March 2005 Overpriced, but immaculate! Great breakfast, too. Comment by J and A September 2004 It was clean and there was a good breakfast (included). It wasn't too hard to find, although it was a little bit far from downtown and the train station. The atmosphere wasn't as warm as some places, but if you are looking for a safe and clean hostel for a decent price in Switzerland, this is a pretty safe bet. Comment by Anna April 2004 This place is impossible to find. If you are using the map from the HI book, throw it away. Get a taxi. It took me 3 hours of walking to find it and from the comments of the people I had to ask for directions, I wasn't the first traveler to get lost by a long shot. The place is very clean, but not especially friendly.
5 of 5 6/2/2008 12:09 AM Comment by JC March 2004 The staff is fantastic, they will help you with everything you can imagine. The restroom facilities are a bit primitive but it only adds to the genuine "hostel" feeling. A bit expensive (as everything else in Switzerland). Comment by B February 2004 Best Hostel of our trip hands down. Great Staff and a location that was easy to get to. Have you visited this hostel?
