Day 01 ARRIVAL BUENOS AIRES Upon arrival at Buenos Aires airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. Day 02 BUENOS AIRES City Tour The tour includes attractions such as the 9 de Julio Avenue, the Obelisk and Corrientes Street. The first stop will be in the Plaza de Mayo to visit the Cathedral and the Cabildo (Old City Hall). The trip will continue towards the most traditional neighborhood of Buenos Aires, San Telmo, which is characterized by its old colonial houses and the cobblestoned streets. Later the tour will go to La Boca Neighborhood located in the south of the city. There will be time to explore the colourful zinc houses that used to be the refuge and home for the first immigrants and popular artists. Continue to Puerto Madero the old port of the city which was turned into one of the most exclusive gastronomic and residential areas in Buenos Aires. The tour will go to Palermo where you will see the popular woods of Palermo with about 300 ha (741 acres) of gardens and artificial ponds surrounded by elegant buildings. Finally, the last stop in the tour is Recoleta, one of the most selected neighborhoods where, among other attractions, the Recoleta Cemetery can be found. Day 05 PUERTO IGUAZU Iguazu Argentinean Falls Excursion The park was created in 1934 with the main aim to protect the majestic Iguazu Falls. Because of its natural beauty and the biological diversity in this subtropical rainforest, the site was declared a Natural World Heritage by UNESCO in 1984. Your visit to the Iguazu National Park can be done via 3 circuits and on catwalks, best known as Lower Path, Higher path and the Devil s Throat Path. The Lower Path is a 1,200-metre-walk (0.8 miles) giving a great view of the majority of the rapids and falls from a front and lower point of view. The distances range from a bird s eye view of The Devil s Throat together with several Brazilian rapids, to spectacular closeups of other falls. This walk has a high difficulty level due to the number of steps along the way. (Approx time: 2 hours). The Higher Path is a 1,300-metre-walk (0.9 miles) which will raise every visitor s adrenaline level as you come close to the edge of the waterfalls. This walk has breathtaking scenery from the cliff top and is the least demanding walk of the three traditional walks, with no steps along the way. (Approx time: 1 hour). The Devil s Throat will be accessed via the Ecological Jungle Train, stopping at Devil s Throat waterfall, from where you will walk along the catwalk which is a winding path going around the islands for 1,100 meters (0.7 miles) and ending in the large balconies located on the edge of falls. Page 3 Day 08 BARILOCHE Short Circuit Excursion Today, you will discover the picturesque town of Bariloche and its surroundings by doing the "Circuito Chico" tour (Short Circuit). It starts along Nahuel Huapi Lake all the way up to Bonita Beach, where the Huemul Island can be seen. Later, you will arrive at the foothill of Cerro Campanario (1,050 meters) where a chair lift is available to take visitors up to the top to enjoy the beautiful landscape surrounding Bariloche. The highlights are the Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno Lakes, the Trebol Lagoon, the San Pedro and Llao Llao peninsulas, Victoria Island, the Otto, Lopez, Catedral and Goye mountains. Continuing the trip, you will pass by the San Pedro Peninsula and will come to the Llao Llao peninsula where it is possible to see the renowned hotel and the local San Bernardo church. You will pass by the hotel golf courses, the bridge over the Angostura River joining the Moreno and Nahuel Huapi lakes. The next stop is at a natural lookout point. After going around El Trebol lagoon, you will start heading back to the city, thus finishing the circuit. Overnight in Bariloche. Day 09 BARILOCHE Day at leisure. Overnight in Bariloche. Day 10 BARILOCHE EL CALAFATE Transfer to Bariloche airport for your flight to El Calafate. On arrival at El Calafate airport, you will be met by our representative and escorted to your hotel. Day 11 EL CALAFATE Perito Moreno Glacier Excursion Today, you will leave in the morning to visit the renowned Perito Moreno glacier, unique on the planet in its constant forward movement. As you drive to the park, you will see many Andean pre-cordillera sites worthy of being photographed. At the Argentino Lake you will access the National Park Los Glaciares. Along Brazo Rico River you will start to spot the floating icebergs and you will be awed by this natural wonder which has been declared a World Heritage site by UNESCO. There will be time to enjoy this wonder and to have lunch. Return to your hotel in the afternoon. Overnight in El Calafate.
