Blue growth Blue growth addresses the economic potential of the oceans, seas and coasts for sustainable tourism and growth: blue energy (OWE; wave power) maritime, coastal and cruise tourism aquaculture marine biotechnology short-sea shipping coastal protection

Green growth Green growth utilises natural resources in a sustainable manner, minimising the impacts on natural assets: renewable energies food manufacturing and processing green/ eco-tourism environmental management clean transportation and sustainable mobility green construction

Priority Axis 1 Strengthening international activeness and innovation capacity of the South Baltic blue & green economy EUR 9,97m 1.1 Increase the presence of blue and green sector SMEs from the South Baltic area in international markets through joint cross-border actions 1.2 Improve the transfer of innovation for the benefit of blue and green sector SMEs through joint cross-border actions

Specific objective 1.1 Programme output indicators: Number of cross-border support services/ programmes delivered to blue and green sector SMEs to foster their internationalisation Number of enterprises receiving support

Specific objective 1.2 Programme output indicators: Number of established or enhanced cross-border clusters, networks and triple-helix models Number of cross-border services/ programmes delivered to blue and green sector SMEs to foster their innovation capacity Number of enterprises cooperating with research institutions

Priority Axis 2 Exploiting the environmental and cultural potential of the South Baltic area for blue and green growth EUR 39,77m 2.1 Increased development of the South Baltic area s natural and cultural heritage assets into sustainable tourist destinations 2.2 Increased use of green technologies in order to decrease the pollution discharges in the South Baltic area

Specific objective 2.1 Programme output indicators: Size of pilot investments co-financed by the Programme in blue and green tourism infrastructure and services Number of delivered blue and green tourism services, products and tools Increase in expected number of visits to supported sites of cultural and natural heritage and attractions

Specific objective 2.2 Programme output indicators: Size of pilot investments co-financed by the Programme in the uptake of green technologies Number of delivered green technology services, products, standards and tools

Priority Axes 3 Improving cross-border connectivity for a functional blue and green transport area EUR 15,7m 3 Improve the quality and environmental sustainability of transport services in the South Baltic area

Specific objective 3 Programme output indicators: Size of pilot investments in transport services co-financed by the Programme Number of delivered strategies, measures and tools aimed at improving the standard, efficiency, interoperability and/or environmental performance of transport services

Priority Axes 4 Boosting human resource capacities for the area s blue and green economy EUR 8,3 m 4 Increase the share of skilled labour force working in blue and green economy sectors of the South Baltic area through joint crossborder actions

Priority Axis 5 Increasing cooperation capacity of local actors in the South Baltic area for blue and green growth EUR 4,16m 5 Improve the cooperation capacity of local South Baltic area actors through participation in cross-border networks

Specific objective 5 Programme output indicators: Number of local actors involved in cross-border activities Number of joint capacity-building activities/ events involving local actors

Who can participate? Institutions with legal personality under one of the categories: national, regional and local authorities bodies governed by public law other entities established under public or private law operating for the specific purpose of meeting needs in the general interest, not having an industrial or commercial character associations of one or several regional or local authorities associations of one or several bodies governed by public law European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) SMEs associations and clusters chambers of commerce, trade unions and NGOs.

Partnership [1] Lead Partner principle Minimum: 2 partners from 2 Member States, but European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation (EGTC) if set by at least 2 public bodies across the border can implement project individually Bilateral projects eligible in other ETC programmes only with a high model value and/ or extended partnership consortium Complex, multilateral, cross-sectoral partnership is an asset

Co-financing rates PL, LT, DE up to 85% SE, DK up to 75% Under special conditions - EU partners coming from other than the Programme Member States up to 75%
