DURING THE BATTLE OF NMANDY The civilians have paid a heavy price during the Second World War Let s talk about this conflict through the daily life of the inhabitants of Normandy >Guided tour of Caen «Civilian life during the Battle of Caen» (2hrs) During summer 1944, Caen was at the heart of the Battle of Normandy and the civilians had to survive in the middle of the bombed city. Their life was organized around one of the few safe places: the Men s Abbey. >Visit of the Civilians in Wartime Memorial in Falaise (3hrs) This museum, built on the ruins of a house destroyed by the bombings of summer 1944, is a remembrance place unique in the world. Although the fate of civilians is often a point raised, never before had a museum chosen to fully dedicate its topic to the daily life of populations during an armed conflict.

SALES AND BOOKING CONDITIONS The rates shown apply from Monday to Saturday (Sundays and bank holidays on request), based on 40 people and are subject to changes in the VAT rate and to availabilities. Driver goes free. These prices do not include transport and personal expenses. Garden visit are free and unaccompanied. The little train tour is only available from April 1 st to September 30 th 2017. The menus of restaurants are sent with our offer. It is possible to combine the programs in order to have a tailored made one subject to feasibility (distance, opening times ) The number of participants must be confirmed 1 week before the group s arrival at the latest.
