GENERAL INFORMATION usually have two double beds. Vermont s Green Mountain Tours, LLC does not arbitrarily room persons together. Passengers must select their own roommates. CHILD DISCOUNT: Children 12 years old and younger will receive a discount of 10% off the applicable rate while they share the same room with their parents. Child must be 12 years or younger at the time of trip, and proof of age is required within five days of reservation. BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE & LIABILITY: Baggage service is provided for some of our tours, but not all. Each person is allowed one large suitcase and one carry-on. The carry-on is to be handled by the traveler, who will assume full responsibility for it. Please mark all baggage with your name, address and phone number. Vermont s Green Mountain Tours will provide luggage tags for your larger bag. Vermont s Green Mountain Tours cannot assume liability for damaged or lost baggage. Insurance is recommended. On multi-day tours, carry-on bags must be stowed in the cargo bay under the bus. Travelers will be responsible for transporting these bags to and from the hotel. DEPARTURE TIMES & PICK UP POINTS: Vermont s Green Mountain Tours is not responsible for your automobile in the parking lot. All parking is at your own risk and/or expense. If you decide to change your pick up point, it is important to let us know in advance. Our departure time is indicated on itinerary. In fairness to other passengers we cannot wait for someone who is late therefore we ask that you arrive fifteen minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. Departure times are subject to change and you will be notified of any changes prior to the tour. EVENTS CHANGES: If an event such as a show or baseball game is cancelled due to weather or anything else that is beyond our control, Vermont s Green Mountain Tours cannot be held responsible for ticket refunds. Travel insurance does cover this expense. SMOKING & ALCOHOL: Smoking is not permitted on the coach. There will be rest stops to accommodate those who wish to smoke. Alcohol is prohibited on board all motor coaches. RESPONSIBILITY: All rates are subject to change. Vermont s Green Mountain Tours, LLC reserves the right by its sole discretion to make changes in itineraries and is not responsible to any person for expense, loss of time, money, or other circumstances resulting from a change in itinerary or change of tour arrangement made to it for tour members. Vermont s Green Mountain Tours, LLC is not responsible for other services, loss, injury or damage to any person or property however caused, or for any delays, extra expenses or inconveniences caused by weather, acts of God or passenger deviations. WEATHER POLICY: Vermont s Green Mountain Tours weather policy is we travel unless roads are closed. That means rain, snow, sleet, or hail, the tour normally goes! INTERNATIONAL (INCLUDING CANADA) BORDER REQUIREMENTS: U.S. Citizens are required to present an enhanced driver s license, passport, passport card, or naturalization papers. Non U.S. Citizens must have a valid Passport or Alien Card. Regular Driver s License is NOT proof of citizenship, but may be requested as additional ID. Boarding without sufficient I.D. will not warrant a refund. 18
NEW PASSPORT REGULATIONS: As of June 1, 2009, all persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling between the U.S. and Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean or Bermuda by land or sea ports-of-entry (including ferries), will be required to present a valid passport, passport card or Enhanced Driver s License as determined by the Department of Homeland Security. You should take action at least three to four months prior to departure if you need your first or a renewed passport. Check your current passport, noting the date that it expires, so that you can plan in plenty of time to replace it. Passports are valid for 10 years. PASSPORT CARD: The State Department has issued this passport card in response to the needs of border resident communities for a less expensive and more portable alternative to the traditional passport book. The card has the same period of validity as a passport book: ten years for an adult, five for children fifteen and younger. Adults who already have a fully valid passport book may apply for the card as a passport renewal. U.S. Citizens may visit www.travel. state.gov, or call the National Passport Information Center toll-free at 1-877-487-2778 with questions or concerns TERMS OF SERVICE: Vermont s Green Mountain Tours acts only in the capacity of agent for the tour participant. We in no way represent nor act as agent for travel service suppliers such as hotel/motels, restaurants, sightseeing attractions or tours and transportation, and we accept no responsibility or liability caused by the defect or negligence or default of any company or person engaged in carrying out or performing any of the services involved. We cannot be held responsible for events beyond our control, such as (without limitations) acts of God, declared or undeclared war, strikes, government restrictions, terrorist activities, defects in vehicles, breakdown of equipment, delay, or cancellation of, or changes in itinerary or schedule. We reserve the right to make changes in the published itineraries whenever in our sole judgment conditions so warrant, or if we deem it necessary for the comfort, convenience or safety or our tour participants. We reserve the right to withdraw without penalty any tour announced. Our sole liability upon cancellation of a tour is the refund of moneys paid. We also reserve the right to decline to accept any person as a participant in a tour or to end an individual s participation in a tour at any time when such an action is determined by the appropriate Vermont s Green Mountain Tours staff to be in the best interests of the health, safety and general well-being of the tour group or of the individual participant. Any dispute or controversy that might be the subject of any action in court shall be governed by the laws of the State of Vermont and shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the terms and conditions of Title 12, Vermont Statutes Annotated, and Chapter 192. ACKNOWLEDGMENT: I understand that this agreement with Vermont s Green Mountain Tours contains an agreement to arbitrate. After consenting hereto, I understand that I will not be able to bring a lawsuit concerning any dispute that may arise which is covered by the arbitration agreement, unless it involves a question of constitutional or civil rights. Instead, I agree to submit any such dispute to an impartial arbitrator. Your partial or full payment or signature on a Vermont s Green Mountain Tours trip constitutes consent to all provisions of the conditions. TIPPING GUIDELINES TOUR DIRECTOR On international tours, it is customary to tip your full-time Tour Director a minimum of 4/$5 $6 per person per day. Tipping 5/$7 is common as additional tips are at your discretion when performance is outstanding. On tours of the US and Canada, it is customary to tip your full-time Tour Director a minimum of $5 per person per day. BUS DRIVER On international tours, each participant is expected to tip their bus driver 2 EUR per day/$3 per person per day. On tours of the US and Canada, each participant is expected to tip their bus driver $2 $3 per person per day, depending on whether luggage is included. LOCAL TOUR GUIDES If you would like to tip your local guide it is advised that tip money be collected in advance. It is customary to tip 1/$1 per person. GENERAL INFORMATION 19
