University was established in 1977. what marks a beginning of internationalisation, creating of preconditions for development, gathering of academic staff, organizing of education according to modern principles.

University mission is to organize a wide range of educational processes of different contents and levels, to perform theoretical, applied and emerging scientific research, to become one of the leaders in the education of young experts necessary for the development of economy and society, as well as to promote cultural and social development of our region and country. The vision is to create relatively small and flexible university recognizable in the region of Mediterranean and further, with internationally recognized multidisciplinary educational programs based on the latest teaching methods according the needs of local, regional, and international labor market; to participate in the shaping of future and emerging knowledge and technologies; and to introduce international standards into education in order to become a generator of the society development.

Rujište Mountain spa and nature park 18 km north from Mostar. The historic site of Počitelj on the left bank of the river Neretva, south of Mostar. During the Middle Ages, Počitelj was considered the administrative centre and centre of governance of Dubrava župa (county). It is believed that the fortified town along with its surrounding settlements were built by Bosnia's King Stjepan Tvrtko the first, in 1383. The walled town of Počitelj evolved in the period from the 16th to the 18th centuries. Architecturally, the stone-constructed parts of the town are a fortified complex, in which two stages of evolution are evident: medieval, and Ottoman.

Kravice is a waterfall on the Trebižat River, 40 km south of Mostar. Its height is between 25 metres and the radius of the lake in the base of the waterfall is 120 metres. Kravice is a popular swimming and picnic area. The Kravice Falls area also has a little cafe, a rope swing, a picnic area, and a place to camp. The best time of year for visiting is during the springtime - when the arid landscape turns a bright green. There is a small grotto near the Kravice Falls with stalactites made of calcium carbonate, an old mill and a sailing ship.

Radimlja, Stolac stećak necropolis located in Vidovo polje, 3 km west of Stolac one of the most valuable monuments of the mediaeval period in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The majority of stećak tombstones date from the 15th and 16th centuries in 1967 necropolis had a total of 133 tombstones.

Vjetrenica is the largest and most important cave in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and one of the most important caves in the Dinaric Alps mountain range, which is famous worldwide for its karstic and speleological riches.

Strict Nature Reserve Perućica near the border with Montenegro, a part of the Sutjeska National Park One of rarely preserved rainforests of Europe. No equal in the Dinarides, not only by its standing stock and height, but also by its composition, physical featrues and beauty. Over 170 species of trees and shrubs and over 1,000 species of herbaceous plants testify to the wealth of the Perućica plant life.

Medjugorje is a town in the Herzegovina around 25 km southwest of Mostar and close to the border of Croatia. Since 1981, it has become a popular site of religious pilgrimage due to reports of apparitions of the Virgin Mary to six local Catholics. At an altitude of 200 m above sea level it has a mild Mediterranean climate.

NEUM Neum is the only town on Bosnia and Herzegovina coast. With 24.5 km of coastline, it is only access to the Adriatic Sea. around 5,000 beds for tourists, 1,810 in hotels with the remaining capacity in motels, villas, and in private accommodation. The inland area behind Neum has a rich archeological history and untouched wilderness and is starting to develop agricultural tourism.

Dubrovnik is a Croatian city on the Adriatic Sea just 140 km far from Mostar. It is one of the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. The city of Dubrovnik joined the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites.
