Gulf of Naples The Gulf of Naples is located in the Campania Region of southwestern Italy. It is fronted by the city of Naples, Mount Vesuvius and the Roman ruins of Pompei and Herculaneum (both completely destroyed by an eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D.). To the south, the gulf is lined by the beautiful Sorrentine Peninsula and the cliff-top town of Sorrento. To the west, are the breathtaking islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida. With OMBRE BLU, you will have the opportunity to swim in warm thermal waters and caves, explore quaint villages, shop in trendy boutiques and enjoy some of the finest gastronomy in Italy, or just relax and enjoy the sun.
Sorrento Our base in Sorrento is the perfect place to start and finish this magnificent itinerary. A steep set of stairs lead to the center of this beautiful cliff-top town. One can make the journey by foot or by car. There are many historic buildings, parks and artesian shops to enjoy. From Sorrento it is also possible to tour with OMBRE BLU's private driver to Pompei, Herculaneum or Mount Vesuvius. From Sorrento we will depart to explore the coastline of the Sorrentine Peninsula. Relax and start your vacation with a sunset massage on deck.
Capri TOUR CAPRI & ANACAPRI IN AN OPEN- TOP LIMOUSINE. Incomparable scenery, the mix of nature, art, culture and jet-set society, make this the most dreamed of and celebrated island in Italy. Wind your way up the beautiful stairway or take the cable car to the main village. Sip on an aperitivo and watch the world go by. Enjoy a tour of the island by scooter or limousine. Ischia Ischia is the largest island in the group and is famous for its therapeutic thermal waters and spa treatments. OMBRE BLU's anchorage in the crystal-clear waters surrounding the Sant' Angelo Castle is spectacular, as are the beaches. The size of the island makes it worth a twoday visit, taking in the many delights by land and by sea. Ashore you will discover the magnificent Aragonese Castle and the famous gardens of La Mortella. A "must" is a Pizza with fresh buffalo mozzarella; the best in the world is here. Ischia is a true paradise!
Procida Situated just a couple of miles from Ischia is the magical island of Procida. Procida is the smallest island of the group and it has managed to retain its un-altered Mediterranean identity, which makes a great contrast to the more developed Capri and Ischia. This is a fantastic opportunity to take your firstever scuba dive, as the waters surrounding are shallow and clear. You have the freedom to enjoy activities ashore or choose the comfort of your private yacht OMBRE BLU at anchor.
Positano ENJOY A DIFFERENT ANCHORAGE FOR BREAKFAST, LUNCH AND DINNER The Amalfi Coast is renowned throughout the world for the unique beauty of its landscapes. Twisting roads winding through rocky cliffs reveal tantalising glimpses of small villages, secluded bays and inlets, all looking out over a clear blue sea. Lush green Mediterranean flora colours the slopes of the surrounding hills and cliffs. Positano is like a waterfall of multicolored houses flowing down to the sea. It's labyrinth of alleys are a mix of art, culture and shopping.
Amalfi & Ravello Set in a steep and rocky seaside valley, Amalfi boasts a picturesque harbour which is located only a few steps from the centre of town. You will have the opportunity to explore historic buildings including the wonderful Cathedral of St Andrew. Enjoy some of Italy's finest dining in one of local the Michelin Star restaurants.
