We have a total of 84 students and 9 members of staff travelling to Rome. Due to the large numbers we are having to travel in two groups. One group will travel from Stansted Airport and one group from Gatwick Airport. To start our travels from the Isle of Wight we are travelling from Cowes, Trinity Landing, West Cowes Parade with Solent & Wightline Cruises Limited.

Daily Itinerary Wednesday 08.00 Breakfast at the hotel After breakfast, group walk to the Pantheon. Free time to visit the Altar of the Fatherland and Piazza Venezia. After the visits, free time for group to buy/eat lunch in the local area. 14.00 Check-in at the Colosseo 14.20 Group visit to the Colosseo, group return to the hotel on foot, group to freshen up and change at the hotel. 19.00 Evening meal at Managrovia Restaurant Thursday 07.30 Breakfast at Hotel 08.00 Meet coach at meeting point and travel to Vesuvius National Park, Naples area 11.30 Group visit to Vesuvius 13.00 Coach to Pompeii 13.45 Arrive Pompeii free time for group to buy/eat lunch in the local area 14.30 Group to visit the Archaeological site of Pompeii 16.30 Meet coach at meeting point and return to Rome 20.30 Arrive back at the Hotel 21.00 Evening meal at Mangrovia Restaurant Friday 08.00 Breakfast at Hotel. Group to check out and leave luggage in designated area Group 1 Walk to the Spanish Steps for sightseeing and shopping, return to hotel to collect luggage 11.00 Meet coach for transfer to Rome Ciampino Airport for retun flight to the uk Group 2 - walk to the Forum for sightseeing, shopping buy/eat lunch in local area. What to Pack Three comfortable outfits for day excursions (please note the temperatures are going to be around 20 degrees) eg shorts, t.shirts, light weight jacket/jumper. Smart/casual wear for going to the restaurant for evening meals Lightweight waterproof jacket Sensible walking shoes and day time excursions. Sandals/smart for evening Sun hat Toiletries shower wash, shampoo, deodorant, toothbrush/toothepaste, comb/hairbrush (please see the attached list from the airlines to see the size of bottle/can that you can take) Towel Drink bottle (to fill up with bottled water everyday) Sun cream Hairdryers are provided in the rooms Mobile phone/ camera Spending Money in a named wallet/purse (euros) 30.00 lunch ( 10.00 per day) maximum 20.00 spending money in Euro, optional 10 sterling for airport snacks. Children will be responsible for their own money. Medication - must be put in a named envelope with a letter stating how much and how often to be taken. Rooms - The hotel has rooms for 3/4 sharing. Hotel Archimede Hotel Archimede Via dei Mille, 19, Rome, 00185, Italy. Tel No +39064440033 The 4* Hotel Archimede is a renovated 19th century building. The classically decorated hotel is great for school groups looking for central accommodation within easy reach of the main tourist sights. The 156 bedrooms have private bathrooms with hairdryer and also feature air conditioning and television. Students will be accommodated in multi-bedded rooms, with adults in twins. A buffet breakfast will be served every morning. Location The central location of Hotel Archimede offers great transport links around the city (just a few minutes walk to bus and train or metro stations) and to both airports- Fiumicino and Ciampino.
