Add to this the scents, colours and sounds of the surrounding nature of this small littoral town, and a great time is guaranteed. June 24th 20:00 Crikvenica St. John s Bonfire, Balustrada beach On the Crikvenica Riviera, the tradition of lighting bonfires, which symbolises the beginning of spring, has been preserved right up to the present day. In Crikvenica, Jadranovo and Selce, bonfires are lit on Midsummer s Eve, and in Dramalj on the feast day of St. Petrus. On these occasions, local folklore associations perform traditional songs and dances of the littoral region. Visitors will have the opportunity to sample and buy local and natural produce, such as homemade cheese, honey, jam, brandy and liqueurs. All this will be accompanied by the sound of the traditional songs of the littoral area and some culinary surprises. This event celebrates the tradition of tourism in Selce. It starts in the morning with a get-together on the waterfront with portions of fried fish, local wine and music. In the evening, there is a boat parade with a large sailing ship and specially decorated boats illuminated with lanterns and decorated with ash branches. There is also a party in the centre of the town.
