Krakow Day 0: Depart Canada Day 1 Friday, June 29 Upon arrival we will meet you at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Forget jetlag, Krakow awaits! Today you ll get a taste of this mythical city. Just a short walk to the vast 700 year old Cloth Hall in the Rynek Główny, Europe s largest medieval market square. Learn about the old world legends as you visit St. Mary s Basilica and capture your first photos from a carriage ride in the old city. After dinner, enjoy some well-deserved rest back at the hotel! Day 2 Saturday, June 30 After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and transferred to the infamous former Nazi death camp Auschwitz-Birkenau. Upon return - explore the Renaissance royal castle and Gothic cathedral with Baroque chapels at sacred and historic Wawel castle in the afternoon. Head below Krakow into the Rynek Underground for the multimedia exhibition. Afterwards, we will get together for a traditional Jewish dinner in a Klezmer restaurant! Day 3 Sunday, July 1 On our last day in Krakow - visit the Wieliczka Salt Mines, where you ll navigate the kilometers-long trails, salt galleries and chambers up to 135 meters underground. Returning to Krakow, enjoy some free time for individual exploration and shopping. To end the day - dine like knights amid stained glass and armor for your last dinner in Poland
Krynica Zdroj - Sanok Przemysl - Arlamow Day 4 Monday, July 2 Westward through the Polish countryside towards Sanok, we ll stop in a small town called Krynica Zdroj. This town is famous for its healing mineral waters, and an important Lemko centre, being home to a Lemko artist by the name of Nikifor. Take the opportunity to walk around this beautiful mountain-surrounded town, and visit the local arts museum. Upon arrival in Sanok, we ll get you checked in and treat you to dinner - fill up on traditional Polish cuisine dishes! Day 5 Tuesday, July 3 After a hearty breakfast, you ll get a taste of the region by touring unique Folk Architecture Museum, where you ll explore the ins and outs of over 120 traditional Boyko and Lemko buildings. See the churches, fire station, school and exhibitions including a collection of over 200 icons. Afterwards skip over to Slovakia for dinner in the charming town of Bardejov with a stop at an old traditional Lemko church. Day 6 Wednesday, July 4 Wave goodbye to Sanok, we re heading east for the day - to Przemysl near the border with Ukraine. Upon arrival enjoy a city tour and lunch! Later in the afternoon, we will depart for our final destination for the day a beautiful secluded spot in the mountains. Upon arrival, we will get you checked in and then, you can use a free night to treat yourself to many activities offered on location. Evening at leisure. Day 7 Thursday, July 5 Enjoy a FREE DAY in the mountains! Benefit from the many activities offered at the resort, incl. a SPA, hiking, golfing, horse riding, swimming, and much more!
Lviv Day 8 Friday, July 6 In the morning, we ll set out for the Cultural capital of Ukraine the magical Lviv! Upon arrival, we will get you checked in and allow for some time to settle in and rest. Then, we ll show you around this beautiful city and treat you to dinner in one of our favorite restaurants. Day 9 Saturday, July 7 The city, often called the Paris of Ukraine, got this name for a reason once a princely state, part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and then of the Polish Kingdom, today Lviv is a modern European city that has, nonetheless, preserved a very special old-european feel. Take a city tour and discover more! Naturally, all the touristy attractions of Lviv are centrally located, but this doesn t mean there aren t things to explore beyond this realm! Visit the famous Lychakiv cemetery, the old-new train station, incredible cathedrals and more! Buckle up! In your spare time - we strongly suggest you visit the Lviv Opera House either for a show or simply to see the stunning interiors! Day 10 Sunday, July 8 Enjoy an optional day trip around the castles in Lviv region, united into a tour route known as the Golden Horseshoe. Visit three castles in Pidhirtsi, Olesko and Zolochiv; or enjoy a FREE day in Lviv you won t be struggling for ideas and things to fill your time. In the evening, we ll all get together for one last dinner in this beautiful city. Kyiv Day 11 Monday, July 9 Early in the morning, we will catch a train to Kyiv! Upon arrival, we will meet you at the train station and transfer to your hotel in the heart of the city. Enjoy some time to check in and relax after the train, then have breakfast! To introduce you to Kyiv, its fascinating history, architecture and traditions, take a city tour (approx.. 4 hours, combination of walking and going by bus), taking you through iconic sights like Independence Square, better known as Maidan, Khreshchatyk Street the main artery of Kyiv, St. Volodymyr s Cathedral & a visit and tour of St. Sophia s Cathedral. Upon return to the hotel, enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure. Day 12 Tuesday, July 10 After breakfast enjoy a visit to not just one of Kyiv s, but all of Eastern Europe s, most important and impressive spiritual and architectural sights - the Kyiv Lavra Cave Monastery. After a visit and a tour of the monastery (approx. 2 hours), we will visit an Ethnography museum Honchar Museum, that holds an impressive collection of traditional Ukrainian costumes, musical instruments, household items and more. Upon return to the hotel enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure Day 13 Wednesday, July 11 Today enjoy a day trip to the Ukrainske Selo (Ukrainian Village) open-air ethnography museum. Walk around the museum, enjoying traditional houses brought in from different regions of Ukraine. Choose from a variety of artisanal workshops to take, and enjoy a home-cooked Ukrainian meal. Upon return to Kyiv take some time for individual exploration and shopping, for instance some free time for shopping at Andrijvesky Uzviz a street that s home to the city s artisans, craftsmen and vendors explore items starting from souvenir trinkets, to authentic costumes and Soviet times memorabilia. Day 14 Thursday, July 12 One of the most controversial and haunting tours you can take is a day trip to Chernobyl. Enjoy an optional visit to the notorious dead city or enjoy some free time in Kyiv. Alternatively, spend a free day in the city of Kyiv.
