IBTR.O: 3/23/2009 AJ)OPTED:4/13/2009 TOWNSHIP OF FAIRFIELD ORDINANCE '2009-14 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 4-19.5 OF THE CODE OF TIlE TOWNSHIP OF FAIRFIELD REGARDING LICENSE FEE INCREASE OF HOTELS, MOTELS, LODGES AND INNS WHEREAS, Section 4-19.5 License Fee Chapter 4, of the Code of the Township of Fairfield regulates licensing fees for Hotels, Motels, Lodges and Inns; and WHEREAS, The Mayor and Council of the Township of Fairfield, in the County of Essex, in the State of New Jersey, have determined that the costs to license and regulate Hotels, Motels, Lodges and Inns within the Township has increased; and WHEREAS, based upon the foregoing the Governing Body of the Township of Fairfield has found it necessary to increase its housing or lodging unit fee charges; and WHEREAS, the governing body has determined it is in the best interest of the Township to increase the housing or lodging unit licensing fee from $40.00 per unit to $55.00 per unit. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWNSHIP OF FAIRFIELD, COUNTY OF ESSE, AND STATE OF NEW JERSEY AS FOLLOWS: 1. Chapter 4-19.5 be and is hereby amended to read as follows: 4-19-5 License Fee. The fee for such license shall be [forty ($40.00)] fifty-five ($55.00\ dollars per housing or lodging unit per year. Licenses shall expire one (1) year from the date of issuance. (Ord. No. 98-11 1) 2. All ordinances and parts of ordinances inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed. 3. Ifany section, paragraph, subdivision, clause of provision of this ordinance shall be adjudged invalid, such adjudication shall apply only to that section, paragraph, subdivision, clause or provision so adjudged, and the remainder of this ordinance shall be deemed to be valid and effective. 4. This Ordinance shall take e immediately upon passage and publication in accordance 'th aw.
