Letter of Invitation Letter of Invitation On behalf of e European Aociation of Nuclear Medicine, it is my great pleasure and honour to cordially invite you to e 30 Annual EANM Congre in Vienna, Austria in October 2017. Over e 30 years since our first congre, nuclear medicine has made significant ifica strides. Overall usage of nuclear medicine procedures is expanding rapidly, and is trend is especially evident wi respect to new imaging technologies. 6 October 21 25, 2017 Vienna, Austria

Letter of Invitation We can affirm at e revolution of tomographic hybrid imaging wiin e nuclear medicine landscape is now a matter of fact, spurred by evidence-based medicine. Our discipline s next step is e integration of genome-specific targeted eranostics, utilising in vivo whole-body aement of tiue morphology, physiology and biochemistry. The ultimate goal is to design personalised, super-selective erapies and to identify more precise means of monitoring response to treatment in routine clinical practice. The annual EANM Congre has become e world-leading meeting in nuclear medicine. In order to maintain e high level of excellence of our Congre, e 2017 meeting will build on e traditions at are highly appreciated by all attendees, wi expansion of e newer features introduced by e former Congre Chair. A specific educational track, implemented in collaboration wi e European School of Multimodality Imaging and Therapy, will include up-to-date Teaching Seions, enriched by Pitfalls & Artefacts and Continuous Medical Education (CME) seions. In all ese active learning seions, attendees will have e poibility to enhance eir knowledge of multimodality imaging. Wi similar pedagogic intent, numerous multidisciplinary joint symposia organised by EANM Committees and our sister societies will offer an integrative approach to various topics relevant to e state of e art in our discipline. I take is opportunity to make a special appeal to young specialists: please join in and benefit from ese academic seions. You represent e future of our discipline and it is you who should begin to shape your knowledge in ways at will contribute to a brighter tomorrow for our community! All ese learning seions will not impact adversely on e predominant role of e entire Congre, which is to enable e presentation of oral papers and posters about e latest achievements in clinical nuclear medicine, science and technology. On e contrary, e Rapid Fire seions, for example, will be enriched. The spirit of such seions is to draw attention to e most highly rated abstracts in specific areas: a panel of top-level presentations is followed by extensive discuions, providing attendees wi an integrated and coherent view on a wide variety of topics. Furermore, featured oral seions wi one invited speaker in combination wi regular presentations will broaden e perspectives on all topics. The now well-established tracks M2M Molecule to Man (basic and translational science) and Do.MoRe (radionuclide erapy and dosimetry) will promote high-quality research rough interaction between basic and translational clinical scientists and allow presentation of e latest achievements and developments in e fields of clinical molecular imaging and nuclear medicine erapy. During e plenary lectures, distinguished speakers will addre state of e art science togeer wi new developments in clinical and allied sciences, covering a broad range of topics wi e goal of promoting e best poible care for our patients. At e end of e meeting, two eminent lecturers, Prof. Stefano Fanti from Bologna, Italy and Prof. Clemens Decristoforo from Innsbruck, Austria will present e traditional Highlights Lecture. The Congre will take place in Vienna, Austria, where e EANM Executive Office is also based. The city located in e heart of Europe, on e banks of e river Danube is world famous for its imperial heritage, its cultural attractions and its culinary highlights. To quote e slogan of e city: Vienna awaits you! For all ese reasons, I cordially invite you to e EANM 17 Congre and to actively participate in our 30 anniversary. Meet and interact wi friends and colleagues from all over e world, break away from e daily routine and enjoy Vienna s hospitality. Francesco Giammarile EANM Congre Chair 2017-2019 October 21 25, 2017 Vienna, Austria 7
