Private Afternoon City Tour Cosmopolitan and vibrant, Buenos Aires is a modern capital city with a distinctly European feel. San Telmo has a quaint faded appeal with cobbled streets which really come alive on Sundays when the weekly antiques market is held. The area of La Boca, established by Italian immigrants, is well worth a visit to see the colourful buildings. Synonymous with Argentina, Eva Peron s final resting place can be seen amongst the grand and ornate surroundings of the Recoleta Cemetery. 2
03 Nov BUENOS AIRES (B/L) Full Day Gaucho Party at Estancia Santa Susana You will be collected from your hotel and taken towards Cardales, 90km from Buenos Aires, to spend a day at the Estancia Santa Susana. For several years, the estancia has been receiving visitors, and its facilities have been adapted for welcoming and hosting them. The estancia consists of a main house and a series of quinchos that hold the Comedor (dining room), the Pulperia (tavern) and the Parilla (grill). Your day will begin with a reception in the Pulperia where delicious empanadas of meat and wine will be served. You will then go onto the Comedor to enjoy an authentic asado-barbeque (with beef, chicken, salads, dessert and coffee). After lunch, you will enjoy a dance, folk and tango music show, followed by demonstrations of a horseback sport called carreras de sortijas (ring races), and some of the estancia s gauchos will show their skills as horsemen. For passengers wishing to participate more actively, it will be possible to ride horses and sulkies (carts) in the estancia. At the end of the day you will be offered a snack of mate tea and homemade pastries. It then continues to Santa Lucia hill, where the Spanish founded Santiago in 1541, which gives great views of the Parque Forestal and the Mapocho River, before continuing on to the cultural district of Bellavista and finishing at the restaurants, elegant shops and modern high-rise buildings of Providencia. 15 Nov SANTIAGO (B/L) Private full day tour of Casas del Bosque & Matetic wineries (inc. lunch) It was not until the 1980s that the exceptional conditions of the Casablanca Valley for white wine were discovered. Its location close to the coast and the morning fog allowing the grapes to ripen slowly and give this product some unique qualities. Here, you can find the best available whites such as the Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. If you like white wine, visiting the Casablanca Valley is a must. Leaving behind the beautiful valley of Curacaví (water of stone), with its corn plantations, avocado, plum and walnut trees, you can appreciate the Casablanca Valley opening up with its grapevines that climb up the hills, as far as your eyes can see. Here you will visit two vineyards with different features and specialties and have a delightful wine tasting. You will have lunch at Restaurant Tanino at Casas del Bosque, courtesy of Moran Travel. 11
