Courtyard House - Additional Information The information below is to be used in conjunction with the information supplied on the Auckland Council website and in any terms and conditions documents Vehicles access rules and conditions Maximum of 20 vehicles (permitted and visitor vehicles) allowed to park at the bach. The bach access road is part the public walking, mountain bike track system. Strictly no vehicle access beyond the bach: For the safety of children and others please drive with care. Only persons with the appropriate FULL or RESTRICTED driving licence are permitted to drive vehicles in the area. Maximum vehicle speed 20kms Strictly no vehicles allowed on lawn or mown areas of Courtyard House. Park Rangers have the authority, if access rules and conditions are not followed, to: a) Stop all vehicle access to the bach. b) Have vehicles removed from the bach grounds. c) Prohibit vehicle access for any individual/s d) Terminate the permit at any time. Parking Parking is limited to 20 vehicles at the bach for any booking. Vehicles must park in the central courtyard area, and can use the main house double garage, the annex single garage, and the shearers quarters single garage. No parking on the lawn. The access road must be kept clear at all times. Day Visitors Day visitor times are restricted to Atiu Creek Regional Park entrance gate opening hours. Visitor vehicle access to the bach is allowed. Please minimise vehicle numbers and trips. Vehicle access rules and conditions apply. Visitor numbers are restricted: Maximum number of persons (booked and day visitors) is not to exceed 50 persons. When the Event Outbuilding is booked Maximum number of persons (booked and day visitors) is not to exceed 80 persons. Lounge/ living areas furniture Facilities and services Main House: Very large open plan area with sofas providing seating for eleven (3x three-seater, 1x two-seater); two coffee tables, built-in bookshelves. Annex: Living area has a wicker two-seater sofa. Shearers Quarters: Has no lounge/living area. Need to use the dining area. Sun-room: There is a sun-room/conservatory next to the kitchen in the main house with a two-seater wicker sofa and bay window-seat and a round cane table with 4 chairs. Ceiling fan. Outdoor living/ deck Main House: Has a spacious tiled patio area on the north side of the building with a table and seats for six. There are spectacular views over the Kaipara Harbour from here and a grass lawn just off the patio.
Annex: Has a covered tiled patio area with table and seats for three people. Note: there are no BBQ facilities at any of the baches. Boardroom/ library A spacious boardroom adjoins the main living area. This is on the east side of the building, away from the two bedrooms. In the back half of the room there is a large conference table that seats eight. The front half of the room is large, open space and sunny, and has three single beds with a trundle bed under each one. Ideal to use as a bedroom or large board room for small conferences. Garages Main House: Has an internal access garage with space for two vehicles and additional storage cupboards. Annex: Has an internal access garage with space for one vehicle and additional storage cupboards. Shearers Quarters: Has an internal access garage with space for one vehicle and additional storage cupboards. Laundry Main House: Laundry facilities exist in a side-room accessed via the garage. There is a top-loader washing machine (washing liquid provided), a clothes dryer, wash-tub, drying rack and bench space for folding. There is a built in vacuum cleaner, plus a portable vacuum, mops, brooms etc. are all kept in the laundry. Shearers Quarters: There is a top-loader washing machine (washing liquid provided), a clothes dryer, wash-tub, drying rack and bench space for folding. Vacuum, mops, brooms etc. are all kept in the laundry. Phone There is no landline phone. Cell phone reception is available, but patchy. Rubbish/ recycling The bach and surrounding site must be kept clean and tidy during your stay, and left clean on your departure. There is a bin in the main house, annex and shearers quarters. Please use the AC Parks rubbish bags provided in the bach. Place used tied AC Parks rubbish bags in the green wheelie bin by the main entrance door (outside). To help the parks please take recyclable items home and recycle. The rest of the park has no rubbish bins: "No bins. No rubbish. Better parks". Horses Horse floats Horse floats are prohibited at all times from the central courtyard area. Horse floats must be parked at the turn around area past the Courtyard House intersection. Ensure vehicles and floats do not block or restrict vehicles on the access road. Access Horses must be loaded in and unloaded from the vehicle/float as follows. At the intersection off the access road to the Courtyard House, or at the turn around area past the Courtyard House intersection. Or the Atiu Creek Horse-
Float parking area and ride from there. Vehicles and floats must not block or restrict vehicles on the access road. Please remove all horse manure from these areas. No riding on the bach lawns/grounds All riders must have a regional parks network horse riding pass. If a last minute horse riding pass application is made in conjunction with a bach booking, a temporary key is available by arrangement call 09 366 2000 (option 2) to be forwarded to the Duty Ranger. Riding access to the horse riding trails. Joining the horse riding trails at the end of the turnaround area, past the woolshed. Or ride out the bach access road, along Run Road to the Horse-Float parking area and start from there. Allowed Prohibited Mares and Geldings Stallions Holding paddock Access the holding paddock from the intersection off the access road to the Courtyard House, the gate is on the right off the concrete drive accessing the Courtyard House. Rider s responsibility to organise temporary fencing, tethering etc. for their horse in the holding paddock. The paddock is approx. 9000 square meters. Water supply: Standard livestock water trough supplied from the farm water supply system.
