Fishing Exmouth and Coral Bay enjoy great fishing all year round. From whiting to game fish such as marlin, sailfish etc. While sanctionary zones are in place there are plenty of locations where land-based fishing can be enjoyed. Turtles There are three species of turtle that inhabit the Ningaloo region. These are the Hawksbill, Green and Loggerhead turtles. They are regularly seen in the waters in Exmouth and Coral Bay. Their mating/ nesting season is between Nov Mar. Night tours to witness the miracle of nature generally run from Dec Feb. Please visit the Department of Parks and Wildlife or the Exmouth Visitor Centre for guidelines on turtle interaction and availability. Whalesharks Season is generally pril July. They usually arrive just after the coral spawning that occurs after the full moon in March and pril. s this is a natural occurrence there are no set dates. Yardie Creek Gorge Located approximately 91km away from Exmouth is the only gorge in the area that contains water. Enjoy the one hour cruise, departing daily down the gorge. The walk trail has recently been upgraded with lookout points along the way. The Vlamingh Head Lighthouse Located 17km north of the Exmouth townsite. The Lighthouse overlooks Lighthouse Bay and has the distinction of being one of the few places in ustralia where you can watch the sunrise and set over the ocean. Cape Range National Park
