itinerary details: wild women on top Day 1 Wednesday 29 th March 2017 Your Wild Weekends starts on Lord Howe Island mid -afternoon. You will be transferred from the airport to your accommodation at the Hideaway Apartments. After settling into your accommodation we will take you to view the pristine waters and untouched reef systems including 3 snorkel spots with Environmental Tours. * Dinner provided. Day 2 Thursday 30 th March 2017 After breakfast you will be transported to the Goat House track. With over 170 species of land and sea bird species living on the island you will be mesmerised by the spectacular wild life surrounding you on this walk. After your morning trek you will have a well-earned free afternoon, where you can take the opportunity to hire a bike to explore the island including Blinky Beach Platoon, Ned s Beach for swimming and fish feeding. Day 3 Friday 31 st March 2017 Trekking from sea to summit today is the day you will traverse the 875m to the top of Mt Gower. Put your rock scrambling skills to the test on this amazing terrain. Our expert local guide will share his extensive local knowledge during this full day climb. Day 4 Saturday 1 st April 2017 Our morning will find us on the Mt Eliza and the Gulch walk. From your Mt Eliza vantage point, gaze out at the Admiralty Island group and Malabar ridge taking in the wonder that is Lord Howe. We have incorporated some more free time for you to explore on your own or take a well-deserved rest. Day 5 Sunday 2 nd April 2017 A free morning before we leave this paradise behind. Followed by a gourmet 2 Course Lunch at the Anchorage Restaurant. We will be departing from Lord Howe Island to Sydney approx. 3.00pm Breakfast, Lunch provided pack req: Wild Weekend Gear (see what to bring below) for trekking. 8kg in day pack (including 3-4L of water) for the ascent of Mt Gower fitness req: Wild Women must be trained and capable of carrying an 8kg pack for up to 8 or 9 hours a day, with a sustained uphill on rugged terrain trek for 4 hours. You must also be confident with challenging rock scrambling, comfortable with heights and capable of holding your body weight with your upper body. To participate, all Wild Women must pass the assessment walk or for remote Wild Women as a self-assessment as outlined in the free Wild Weekend Guide ebook. It is highly recommended that you complete one of our Blue Mountains Wild Walks such as Mt Solitary, as preparation for the Mt Gower climb.

In the event that you choose to cancel off this trip any flight, travel cost you have incurred outside of our provisions will be need to be dealt with through your travel insurance. The applicant understands that during the course of the trip certain events may occur, including but not limited to, accident or illness in remote places without medical facilities and forces of nature. The applicant agrees to assume all risks associated with the journey to the maximum extent permitted by the law. Any medical and evacuation expenses incurred due to injury or illness will be the responsibility of the participant. While travelling with WWOT, the applicant agrees to accept the authority of the leader or local operator at all times. The applicant is aware that travel within a group may involve compromise to accommodate the diverse desires and physical abilities of group members.
