ITINERARY DAY 1: FEZ Arriving in Fez today, you will be collected at the airport and transferred to your hotel. DAY 2: FEZ A guided walking tour of Fez provides the perfect chance to learn more about this most charismatic of cities. Meandering through the maze of alleyways you'll experience the old medina and the bustling chaos of the souk, before continuing on to visit the exquisite religious sites of the Qairaouine Mosque and the Sanctuary of Moulay Idriss II. A visit to the colourful leather tanneries then presents you with one of Fez's most fascinating (and pungent) attractions. (B) DAY 3: FEZ - MEKNES - VOLUBILIS - FEZ A couple of hours drive from Fez lie the stunning ruins of Volubilis, once the capital of Roman Mauritania and one the farthest outposts of the Roman Empire. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, today it is the finest preserved city of its kind in the region. Moving on to the imperial city of Meknes, you'll then spend this afternoon exploring its spacious squares and manageable souk before returning to the contrasting clamour of Fez. (B) DAY 4: FEZ - BIN EL OUIDANE Leaving Fez behind this morning you'll head south, winding your way across a landscape of dramatic canyons and lush valleys as you head down through the Middle Atlas Mountains to the shores of Lake Bin el Ouidane, where you will spend the night. DAY 5: BIN EL OUIDANE - MARRAKECH A relaxing morning affords a chance to spend some time relaxing by the lake, or to pay a visit to the nearby Ouzoud waterfalls. One of the most impressive waterfalls in the country, the Cascades d'ouzoud lie amongst a serene landscape of olive trees, orchards and green valleys and provide a captivating setting to explore before continuing the drive on to Marrakech later today. This evening is free to enjoy the city at your leisure. (B) DAY 6: MARRAKECH Morocco's famous 'Red City' is a feast for the senses. A rich cultural melting pot, it is one of the country's historic imperial cities and today provides an opportunity for a full day's sightseeing tour of many of its highlights. Take in the dazzling Djemaa El Fna Square, with its delightful collection of storytellers, snake charmers and market stalls. Visit the Saadian Tombs and the Bahia Palace and take a wander around the Ben Youssef Medersa and the beautiful Majorelle Gardens. (B) DAY 7: MARRAKECH After a leisurely morning you'll transfer to Marrakech Menara Airport for the flight home. (B)
