Discover the charm of the islands of Krk, Cres and Rab by bike and boat. The simple but warm family atmosphere of the sailing motor glider MS Kalipsa promises a holiday of the special kind. During the day a German-speaking tour guide shows you the most beautiful islands and deserted coves, at night the ship lies quiet in the habour. If you have a certain level of fitness you can get your money worth by hiking and climbing in the mountainous interior of the island. At lunch time you go back to the boat, later in the afternoon you can choose whether you like to go biking or exploring the harbour town on foot.
MS Kalipsa The MS Kalipsa is a classic powerd sailing boat. It provides a spacious deck with sunloungers in the open air and a dining saloon as well. The simple but heartly and familiar flair promises some special holidays. 11 outer cabins on the upper deck and 1 cabin on the lower deck are equipped simple but suitable, with bunk beds, shower and a toilet. 1. day Opatija Arrival / Island of Krk 16 km Plan a timely arrival at the port of Opatija to check in your cabin before 12.00 am. You'll be spoiled with a relaxed lunch. Two hours later you'll reach Krk, the largest of the Kvarner islands. Today you'll start with a quick exploration tour from the capitol Krk to Punat and back.
2. day Island of Krk 38 km / 42 km The diverse bike trail leads you through chestnut and fig woods and you cycle over the ridge of the island. In the north-east of the sunny island the delicious Zlahtina wine grows. Take a break in the the pretty museum town Vrbnik before you continue to cycle back to Krk (42 km), where your ship drops anchor. Alternatively bike trip to Punat (38 km). Dinner on board. 3. day Island of Rab 22-43 km During breakfast you sail to the island of Rab. From there you cycle on a beautiful bike trail till you reach the bay with sandy beaches. For lunch you'll be back on the boat in port of Rab. You'll be spoild for choice: a cycling trip through the "Dundo forest" or would you prefer to discover the old town on foot? 4. day Island of Pag 20 km /35 km A short crossing brings you to the island of Pag. Here your bike ride begins along many old stone walls and ancient olive trees. After 22 km you reach the port of Novalja, here you can go back on board or continue your bike ride till you reach the picturesque bay of Mandre (35 km). Definitely you should stop in one of the traditional taverns and taste the famous Pag cheese before sailing to the island of Ilovik in the afternoon. 5. day Islands Ilovik and Losinj 21 km After breakfast crossing to Losinj. Enjoy Mali Losinj with its colorfully painted houses and numerous cafés. After lunch you will make a beautiful bike trip on riverside paths, along numerous bays to the idyllic fishing village of Veli Losinj, which is located on the pinecovered peninsula Cikat. Overnight stay in Mali Losinj. 6. day Islands Losinj and Cres 20-45 km A fantastic panoramic route awaits you today. You'll cycle to the northern tip of the island, to the artists village Osor (20 km). The swing bridge connects the islands of Losinj and Cres. In Osor you can go aboard again or you can continue cycling. For cycling you have to be in good shape, as it goes to the fishing village Martinscica. Afterwards MS Kalipsa will bring you to the historic city of Cres, where the ship anchors for tonight. 7. day Istria and Opatija 27 km During breakfast crossing to the mainland of Istria. The beautiful coastal road takes you up to Brsec. Enjoy the view and stroll through the center before you get back to the back to MS Kalipsa. After lunch on board you sail to Opatija. Enjoy the flair of this coast town and stroll along the beautiful waterfront (12km)! 8. day Departure Opatija After breakfast, disembarkation and individual journey home.

Transfer from airport to ship (round trip) is bookable on request. A later arrival and embarkation on Saturday evening in Krk possible (price on request). Condition of cycle paths The bike route runs mostly on coastal and country roads. A certain level of fitness is recommended for this tour! The daily stages (individually between 20 and 45 km selectable) lead through partly hilly terrain on the respective islands. You will cycle without time constraints and pushing is allowed!
