The system is composed of 4 universities and 17 schools of engineering or other specialised subjects. The goal of the Université de Toulouse is to raise the reputation and visibility of the Midi-Pyrénées region s academic institutions at the European and international levels. The missions of the university system are to encourage inter-institutional action and initiatives in teaching, research, doctoral study, commercialization of research findings, European and international cooperation, student life, science communication, and information and communication technology. Expert session: Innovation in all its forms This year s first TAFTIE Expert Session will be held at the Federal University of Toulouse on 9th of March 2016. The main topic to be discussed is Innovation in all its forms and the focus will be on nontechnological innovation. Moreover, Financing tools as well as Project Evaluation Criteria are suggested for a debate. 2

Lunch A cocktail lunch will be available from 12 PM on 9 and 10th of March at the Federal University of Toulouse. Sightseeing tour of Toulouse /local heritage discovery On 9th of March, right after the Expert Session, we will be invited to a guided visit of the cultural centre of Toulouse from 6:15 PM to 8:15 PM. Please make sure to bring some comfortable shoes because we will be led by a tourist guide on foot. You can find below some examples of touristic places we will visit and the location of the restaurant we will dinner in.
