A Hotel Pool Experience Unlike Any Other! Family Pool This 7,590-square-foot pool overlooks the lake and offers a very gradually sloping beach entry that is perfect for young swimmers. Listen to your favourite tunes on the underwater audio system. Lazy River Not your average lazy river, Drifters has been outfitted with two spray cannons, a cascading 9-foot waterfall and a frothing, bubbling rapids section. The 11,008-square-foot lazy river snakes its way around The Mansion and offers incredible fun for both kids and kids-atheart. The Drop Water Slide Swoop down from The Mansion s main tower in two 242-foot water slides. One slide is enclosed for a thrilling ride with a big splash at the end, and the other is made from seethrough fibreglass so you can watch all the fun, inside and out. One of my favorite things about all of Disney World is its incredible dining options! You can eat at some of the best themed restaurants with amazing authentic food! Planning your dining is as easy as using your cell phone by dialing 407-WDW-DINE. Here you can talk to a Disney representative and setup where you want to eat at all locations inside Disney World. They can book times and handle dietary and allergy requests. Disney doesn t do Reservations but they do provide Priority Seating. This way you can get a set time to eat. These times go fast and if you are willing to eat at strange times, you can generally get in anywhere between 4 pm and 4:30 pm. Same goes for after 9 pm. Book your reservations now and ask about some of my recommendations on the left! Counter Service Dining Tip: At the parks there are lots of great places that provide quick Counter Service. When you order, the cast member is required to take orders from both the left and right side of the line alternating from side to side. Many times people leave the left side completely open. Don t feel like you are cheating! Jump in the left side and beat the line!

That s because it used to be known as Downtown Disney! But it s not just the name that s changed. Disney Springs has grown in size to become one of the top shopping destinations in Orlando! Download this app to your phone and connect it to your ticket/magic band and enjoy the luxury of keeping your entire vacation organized on your phone. It even allows you to reserve Fast Passes directly from the app so you don t have to wait in line. You can even view and order your pictures taken with characters! QUICK TIP: RIDE WAIT TIMES ARE GENERALLY SHORTER DURING THE PARADES! Most Popular Rides The rides that will have the longest wait are Soarin, Test Track, Expedition Everest, Dinosaur, Toy Story Midway Mania, Tower of Terror, Rockin Roller Coaster with Aerosmith, Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, Winnie The Pooh, and Frozen Ever After. Always Go Left! Some rides including Pirates of The Caribbean will offer two different lines to choose from. Any time you are given a choice, you want to take the left side as it will ALWAYS be quicker. The Pirates left line is about 200 ft shorter than the right. Since Americans typically go to the right for everything, Disney makes the left side shorter to help keep things moving. This also applies to arriving at the parks earlier. If you get to the parks before 10 am, go to everything on the left first and then work your way to the right side of the park. When the bulk of the crowd that started on the right is done with those rides, you will be ready to move over to that area! Character Meet and Greets All of the parks offer unique ways to meet your favorite Disney Characters. Magic Kingdom recently opened a brand new attraction with Fast Pass to meet Mickey, and Minnie Mouse on Main Street USA at the Magic Kingdom. This area is located at the new Town Square Theater in the front of the park. To get the most out of your character experience I recommend attending either a character breakfast or visiting Epcot s Character Spot. The Character Spot will allow you to stand in one long line and then go from character to character. So instead of waiting in line to meet Goofy and then getting in another line to meet Donald, the Character Connection lets you wait in one line and meet at least six characters typically include, Minnie, Daisy, Chip, Dale, Donald, Goofy, and sometimes even Mickey! VIP Meet And Greets If you are a Disney Chase Visa Cardholder, you can even get special access to private character spots including Mickey and Friends at Epcot and Kylo Ren at Hollywood Studios! Don t Miss The Stage Shows! Sometimes guests opt to not attend the shows to make sure they get on all the rides. This can be a big mistake as Disney is known for its world class productions. If you re like me and have special needs in terms of food, Disney is a GREAT place to be. All hotels and restaurants on property are very knowledgable on food allergies and sensitivities. Feeling Sick? Whether you have heartburn, a stomach ache, or a headache, every park has at least one store that carries over the counter medical items, but you have to ask for them as they are not on display. What About Universal? Universal Orlando is an amazing resort as well and it has really become a first class destination in recent years. If you are a Simpsons or Harry Potter fan, you will LOVE their parks. I for one, am not, so I don t ever visit their parks. But if you have a rental car and want to experience these parks, they can be a great place to visit!
Firework Tips MAGIC KINGDOM: THE NIGHT TIME FIREWORK SPECTACULAR BEHIND THE CASTLE KNOWN AS WISHES IS A MUST SEE. THE FIREWORKS CAN BE VIEWED ANYWHERE IN THE PARK, BUT FOR BEST VIEWING YOU WANT TO BE IN FRONT OF THE CASTLE. THE LITTLE KNOWN VIP AREA FOR WATCHING FIREWORKS IS LOCATED ON MAIN STREET JUST OUTSIDE THE SPORTS MEMORABILIA THEMED STORE. THERE IS A STREET SIGN OUT FRONT. ALSO, BE SURE TO ATTEND THE ELECTRIC LIGHT PARADE IF SHOWING. THIS IS A LOCAL FAVORITE AND ONE TO NOT BE MISSED! EPCOT: ILLUMINATIONS STARTS EVERY EVENING AT 9 PM. THIS FIREWORKS SHOW IS AN INCREDIBLE DISPLAY OF BOTH WORLD CLASS EXPLOSIONS AND PROJECTION VIDEO. THE SHOW TAKES PLACE ALL AROUND THE WORLD SHOWCASE. FOR BEST VIEWING HEAD TOWARDS THE BACK OF THE PARK. JAPAN IS A GREAT PLACE TO SEE THE FIREWORKS. THE LAKE IS SHAPED LIKE AN EGG AND THE BULK OF THE EXPLOSIONS AND PROJECTIONS ARE CLOSER TO THE VIEWERS IN THE BACK OF THE PARK RATHER THAN THE FRONT. OTHER GREAT PLACES TO WATCH ARE AT NORWAY AND ITALY. ALSO BE AWARE OF TORCHES AND LIGHT POLES IN THE AREA AS THEY TYPICALLY CONTAIN SPEAKERS THAT PLAY THE MUSIC FOR THE SHOW. BEING NEAR ONE IS IMPORTANT TO HEAR EVERYTHING INVOLVED. HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS: FANTASMIC AND THE START WARS GALACTIC SPECTACULAR IS ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR NIGHTTIME EVENTS AT DISNEY WORLD. FANTASMIC COMBINES FIREWORKS, PROJECTION VIDEO AND ALL THE DISNEY CHARACTERS FOR AN AMAZING SHOW THAT S GREAT FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY, WHILE THE STAR WARS GALACTIC SPECTACULAR IS AN INCREDIBLE FIREWORK AND PROJECTION DISPLAY.
