Location and Driving Instructions Tui Ridge Park is located on Oturoa Road 17 kms from central Rotorua. You will find that after you wind up through the Mamaku ranges the road straightens on top of the plateau, there is a trig station on your left and a small bus shelter on the right. www.tuiridgepark.co.nz If you are travelling totui Ridge Park on Hamilton-Rotorua highway turn left onto Oturoa Road at the top of the Mamaku Plateau. The road to your left is Oturoa Road, travel 7 kms down Oturoa Road and you will find Tui Ridge Park on the corner of Anderson Road. You do not need to travel into Rotorua or Ngongotaha to get to Tui Ridge Park. If you do you will add another 15 kms to your journey! The main camp is 2 kms from the main gate entry of Tui Ridge Park up the gravel road.
Meals Tui Ridge camp is a fully catered camp. On the first day students need to bring their own lunch. All cutlery and crockery is supplied. Meals are substantial and second helpings usually always available. Breakfast Cereals, fruit, always one hot choice e.g. hash brown/baked beans, toast and spreads Hot meals (lunch and dinner) Lasagne, nachos, spring rolls, pizza, burgers and plenty of salad Suppers, Morning/Afternoon Tea Please provide either one packet of biscuits or the equivalent in delicious home baking. Shared at morning, afternoon tea and supper. Please Note: 1. A packed morning tea, lunch and drink is required by all students on Monday and will be eaten upon arrival at the camp. 2. Please bring along some homemade baking or a packet of biscuits to share for supper.
Camp Parent Helpers Students will be organised into groups before camp starts, normally around 15 in a group. Parents are assigned to each group, some activities need two adults. Specific instructions and training is provided to adult helpers. Expectations for parents while at camp: get involved in activities, encourage participation and teamwork. Police vets will be required before leaving for camp (if not previously completed by ANI).

Camp Equipment Checklist The Equipment Checklist has been sent home with the Camp Information Pack and can also be downloaded from the school website http://ani.school.nz/learning/#eotc Additional information for students about what to take to camp and what to expect on camp will happen at class camp meetings which are held prior to your son/daughter going on camp.
Camp Dormitories Accommodation is in separate dormitory buildings for boys and girls. The dormitories have bunk beds with separate rooms for supervising adults. The dormitories are carpeted and have heat pumps. Mattresses are supplied, students need to bring their own pillow and sleeping bags. There are shower and toilet facilities within each dormitory. Students are expected to shower daily.
Camp Night Activities These activities will vary depending on individual camps and weather, and could include: TURKEY HUNT BURMA TRAIL TEAM QUIZ AND ACTIVITY CHALLENGE ACTIVITIES IN THE GYMNASIUM ANI IDOL/XFACTOR TOP TOWN EVENTS
Overnight Camp Experience Students will spend one night of the camp in a tent. They will tramp to the location during the day and will not be leaving Tui Ridge grounds. This experience will be led by a classroom teacher and parent and will provide a taste of sleeping in a NZ bush setting in a safe environment.
