Community Bulletin #71 JKC Australia LNG Pty Ltd (JKC) Village construction works continue The Village building works continue at pace with the fourth and final phase to be delivered in the middle of 2014. On completion the $260 million dollar Village will have the capacity to house 3,500 workers. Stages two and three are well under way with accommodation modules in place verandas are being added and amenities hooked up. About 75 per cent of the covered walk ways have been completed over the concrete paths linking the village buildings together. This week contractors Laing O Rourke, will oversee 12 new accommodation modules being delivered to the Village. To make way for the next phase, the buildings which provided temporary office accommodation will be moved to a holding yard in Winnellie. With phase one completed and operational almost 300 workers have moved in, and a total of 1,000 rooms are now available for occupancy. Residents are already enjoying the gym and other completed recreational facilities while finishing touches are being added to the eight- lane 25 metre pool, beach volleyball courts, and the outdoor/indoor cricket pitch. Could this be the NEW MCG? Manigurr-ma Cricket Ground Beach Volley Ball courts ready for some setting, digging and spiking. Crane setting Phase 4 modules in place

Living well, keeping healthy Two Active Lifestyle Coordinators (ALCs) are now working at Manigurr-ma; Pat Dwyer and local fitness enthusiast Cassie Gill. From preparing a raft of fun competition ideas to working with nutritionists, Cassie said the job of looking after the health and nutrition of JKC s workforce s was keeping her on her toes. From personal training to group fitness, minding the pool and gym, helping the kitchen staff with menus and labelling and promoting the Nutritious Life program to guests it s always interesting. The ALCs will assist residents with fitness using the various facilities available including the two indoor and outdoor multipurpose courts covering volleyball, badminton, football, basketball, netball and tennis and the gym complex, which has a separate spin room and group training room. With the wet season and the Ashes series around the corner, there is sure to be some keen competition on the outdoor/indoor cricket pitch. To help residents make good dietary choices, the ALCs work with ESS Larrakia nutritionists to label the delicious meal offerings. ESS Larrakia staff working at Manigurr-ma also fall under the keen eye of Cassie and Pat, who provide daily prestarts to get the staff moving. These provide a range of warm up activities including stretches, spin bike sessions and yoga, Pat said. Goal achieved as new depot for Buslink VIVO coaches opens Buslink VIVO will transport our workforce safely from point to point. Their new bus depot, located on Howard Springs Road, will become operational this weekend. The depot can accommodate 80 coaches and on- staff parking. Guided by an approved Road Transport Management Plan, the Buslink VIVO buses transport workers to and from Manigurrma and Blaydin Point, from various park and ride locations across Darwin to our s, from Manigurr-ma to local shops in Darwin, Casuarina and Palmerston on rest days and evenings, and from other points in the Darwin area. The facility will initially house 42 buses, 48 drivers, and 22 support staff, and well equipped workshops. Later this year up to 62 buses will be operating from the depot.

Feeding our large workforce Manigurr-ma Village is operated by ESS Larrakia. Using food sourced only from local wholesale suppliers, at peak occupancy 20 chefs and 25 kitchen staff working over a 24-hour period will serve up to 1,750 high quality, freshly prepared meals per hour during breakfast and dinner every day. During peak occupancy, Manigurr-ma will use the following ingredients each day: Meat, bacon & Small goods: Milk, yoghurt, ice-cream: Cheese: Potatoes, rice & pasta: Fruit & Vegetables: Fruit Juice: Eggs: Seafood: Ice: 2,100kg 1,750litres 475kg 1,200kg 3,150kg 400 litres 600 dozen 350kg 2,000kg Colourful Candy Jammers, Charity Fun A number of JKC personnel took part in last week s popular Candy Jam fun run, raising money for Camp Quality.
