PACKAGE DETAILS Description This 2 day package provides an intense experience of the very best of the Cordillera Blanca. Ideally suited for those who may be arriving from Cusco or who are already acclimatised, it is a fantastic option to take advantage of a couple of nights in the Andes. We have tailored this package to maximise your time & enjoyment in the Cordillera Blanca, using local guides, resources whilst minimising travel time. Our packages are designed for the independent traveller, a far cry from package tours, leaving you to enjoy the freedom and beauty of the area. The location of our lodge is unrivaled, giving us unprecedented access to the Huascarán National Park. Thus, we are able to provide our clients with more time out exploring the wonders of the park, rather than the usual 6 hours wasted on tour buses, getting to the national park and the irritation of waiting for, or being rushed by the rest of the group. This is how adventure is meant to be. Package Summary Day 1 - Fly Lima - Anta. Private transfer to lodge 1.5 hr. Arrive at Llanganuco Mountain Lodge - Ice of Huandoy (4000m) Day 2 - Lake 69 (4650m) Included Transfers - All transfers to & from airport / bus station to Llanganuco Mountain Lodge. From the airport to the lodge it is just a 1.5hr transfer. Does NOT INCLUDE flight / bus tickets to / from Lima - Huaraz or Yungay. If you so wish we can book your return Supercama Bus ticket from Lima - Huaraz - Lima, at an extra cost of $195 for 2 people. Food - Includes breakfast, lunch & dinner. Alcohol is excluded from the price. Accommodation - Includes accommodation in Matrimonial Room for two people. Trekking - Includes local guide for each trek. 1
DAY 1 LIMA - LLANGANUCO MOUNTAIN LODGE - ICE OF HUANDOY You will fly from Lima to Anta with LC Peru to be collected at the airport, in our pre-arranged private taxi. You will then arrive at LML at around 11.30am. Having settled in & enjoyed a light snack & refreshment, you will then head off directly from the lodge to the Ice of Huandoy with a local guide. Having enjoyed the walk, relax with a majestic sunset, before enjoying your 3-course dinner. TREK SUMMARY The narrow trail follows a mountain stream climbing around the Lake & Ruins of Keushu, providing increasingly good views across it, before plunging into the rather short, narrow, vertiginous gorge of Rajururi - meaning 'Ice Behind' in Quechua. Below the 700m towering cliff with its plummeting waterfall, you will find the lowest ice in the Cordillera Blanca, where the Incas have harvested cones for generations and still do today. You will most likely not see another soul during your entire days trekking. 2
DAY 2 LML - LAKE 69 After breakfast our private transport will drop you off at the beginning of the Lake 69 trek, just a 45 minute transfer. After visiting the lake, our private transport will be waiting to take you back to the lodge. TREK SUMMARY 4650m 6hrs Grade 4/5 Lake 69 is the gem of the Cordillera Blanca Blanca ranking amongst the best day treks in the world. A well established trail winds up the Demanda valley from Cebollapampa basecamp, past a huge waterfall and small lake at halfway affording open views of the twin peaks of the Huascaran massif. Passing some ruins you'll attain the last set of switchbacks, before staggering onto the banks of Lake 69 hemmed in by the peaks of Chacaraju (6112m) and Pisco (5752m). 3
RETURN FLIGHT LML - LIMA After breakfast your private taxi will whisk you to Anta airport, for your brief 50 minute flight to Lima.
