Detailed Itinerary Day 1: FOZ DE IGUASSU Arrival in Foz de Iguassu international airport (IGR), meet and transfer to Argentinian side of the falls HD ARGENTINEAN SIDE OF THE FALLS private service with English speaking guide Iguazú National Park a total of 55,500 hectares bears the name of the river serving as northern border, which means great waters in the guaraní language. Surrounded by a lush subtropical rainforest, we will find the majestic Iguazú Waterfalls. Its water volume and more than 275 falls places it among the most important and spectacular waterfalls in the world. On different footbridges, we will visit the heart of the waterfalls, appreciating them from different angles. We will visit the lower circuit, and feel part of nature, refreshing ourselves with waterfall drizzle. On the upper circuit, we will stop at different viewpoints, and then reach the balcony at Garganta del Diablo (Devil s Throat). No doubt, this is the most amazing of all falls: water falls down from 80 meters. Day 2: FOZ DE IGUASSU Breakfast at the hotel VISIT THE BIRD PARK private service with English speaking guide Located at the entrance of the National Park Bird Park is an ecological sanctuary, linking ecotourism with conservation. Huge nurseries provide a basic understanding of some 900 birds, 150 species. Brazilian birds predominate, but there are species of Australia, Africa and Asia represented. It also develops a recognized work of education, research and Environmental conservation. Other attractions include a butterfly nursery with approximately 25 species of reptiles, where you can see snakes and alligators are just a few meters away from the watchful Eyes. After a 3 kilometers jeep ride, the tour continues to 600 meters on foot to the picturesque Macuco Falls, hidden in the forested canyon. The trail brings us to the banks of the Iguassu River, to board a twin-engine inflatable boat with capacity of 12 to 20 passengers each, specially designed for the local river conditions. Then cruise up into the Iguassu Canyon, shoot several rapids, and arrive to the very base of the majestic waterfalls. Board a cog train from Cosme Velho Station for a ride to Corcovado Mountain to visit one of the world s most famous landmarks, the gigantic statue of Christ the Redeemer. You will disembark at the top of Corcovado and then proceed up the steps that lead to the top lookout where the towering statue of Christ the Redeemer stands, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. Get up-close to Christ the Redeemer and spend some time viewing the panoramic view of this beautiful city of Rio from the incredible mountain-top vantage point. Then, you will descend by the train. During the visit to Corcovado you will be able to taste tropical fruit juices Then you will be taken to the neighborhood of Urca where one of the largest symbols of the city is located: Sugar Loaf. You will travel all the way to the top in two steps by cable car. The first cable car takes us to Urca Hill, a vantage point 215 meters high for which already grants beautiful views of Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niterói Bridge, and Corcovado Mountain. From this stage, a second cable car takes us up to the top. At 395 meters, we will enjoy splendid views of Copacabana beach, the Santa Cruz fortress, and several beaches of Niterói. After riding the Cable car back down, return to the hotel.
