Paço dos Duques de Bragança PRESENTATION Located in the city of Guimarães, whose historic centre has been classified by UNESCO as World Heritage, and forming part of the group of monuments known as the Sacred Hill is the impressive Palace of the Dukes of Bragança. In 1959, it was inaugurated as a National Palace and opened to the public as a museum, exhibiting a collection of Decorative Arts from the 17th and 18th centuries. Amongst the various collections, attention is drawn to the group of tapestries from Pastrana, which represent a valuable testimony to the history of the Portuguese Discoveries; the porcelains from the Portuguese East India Company; the Portuguese faience pieces; Flemish and French tapestries; weapons and armour; various paintings and furniture from the post-discoveries period OPENING TIMES Tuesday-Sunday, 10.00 am 6.00 pm (last admission 30 minutes before closing) Closed on Mondays and: January 1 st Easter Sunday May 1 st December 25 th TICKETS AND PRICES Individual Ticket: 5,00 Combined Ticket: 6,00 (Paço dos Duques de Bragança and Museu de Alberto Sampaio) 50% Discount: Visitors over 65 or disabled users Families with two or more children aged 15 18, provided that they are accompanied by at least one parent 60% Discount: Holders of the Youth Card Museum Passes from the IMC (Institute of Museums and Conservation).
