Day 6 Ngorongoro Crater (B,L,D) Rise early for breakfast at camp, then it s time for a day-long game drive at one of the world s most astonishing natural wonders: the Ngorongoro Crater, home to a remarkable number of hyenas, lions and rhinos. Enjoy a picnic lunch either while observing the fascinating hippo pools or in the stunningly primeval Lerai Forest. Later, visit a Maasai village for an up-close-and-personal look at their captivating way of life, before returning to the Acacia Farm Lodge for dinner. Accommodations: Day 1: : A small boutique lodge near Arusha, surrounded by lush expansive grounds With views of Mount Kilimanjaro, this beautiful lodge sits tucked into volcanic hills amidst beautiful tropical gardens which are home to colorful birds and monkeys. The lodge offers an indoor lounge as well as an outdoor African-style veranda for enjoying lunch or cocktails al fresco. Day 2: : A unique property combining guest lodging with a scientist camp near Tarangire National Park This unique property offers accommodation within a working scientist camp on the border of Tarangire National Park. Located near the edge of what is commonly known as the Small Serengeti, the property sits next to an important migration route for elephants and other animals. This unique lodge offers eight large tent accommodations appointed with en-suite bathrooms, desk,and internet connection. A dining tent and a conference tent with library are available for guests. Days 3-4: : A small, private mobile tented camp in Lake Manyara National Park This mobile camp sits on the banks of the Endabash River, offering guests amazing views of the animals who come to drink. While baboons and antelope frequent the stream by day, elephants and lions are frequent late night visitors. The camp is designed to maintain a level of comfort despite its remote location. Round bell tents, with 10 foot high center poles, offer comfortable space for two people with solar lights, raised mattresses with cotton sheets and blankets, and are both water and insect proof. Bathrooms consist of box toilets on a pit latrine system and bucket showers. Camps are ready when guests arrive, with all maintenance done completely by camp staff.
Days 5-6: : A luxury farm lodge near the Nogorongoro Crater This boutique luxury lodge sits on a 25 acre farm in the outskirts of Karatu. With a unique mix of simplicity and opulence, each of the 28 contemporary African-styled chalets has a comfortable lounge and ensuite bathroom with a mini bar, air-conditioning, satellite television, Wi-Fi and other modern amenities plus a private balcony with sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. In addition, the lodge offers numerous facilities for guests to use including a gorgeous lounge, an intimate dining room and a coffee shop. You will also find an inviting swimming pool, a well-equipped gym and a refreshing spa. Days 7-9: : A small, private mobile tented camp set deep in the Serengeti bush The simplicity and small size of this Green Camp allow guests the unique opportunity to remain overnight in remote areas set deep in the Serengeti bush, a feature not available with the larger tented camps. This camp is designed to be easily relocated, allowing it to follow the seasonal migratory movements of the animals. This camp is designed to maintain a level of comfort despite its remote location. Dome-style tents offer comfortable space for two people, feature solar lighting, thick mattresses with cotton sheets and blankets, and are both water and insect proof. Bathrooms consist of large wooden box toilets on a pit latrine system and a bucket shower system. Outstanding meals are served either al fresco or in a mess tent. Camps are ready when guests arrive, with set up and maintenance done completely by the camp staff. This is a true safari camping experience.
