Victim advises she has legally evicted her son from the residence. (Son is challenged) Victim observed her son at the residence earlier this date trying to gain entry through the back windows and then he tore off part of the decking in the back yard when he could not get in. At approx. 4:35pm he gained entry to the house by using a key in the front door. Victim doesn t know how he procured the key to the front door. She immediately called the police. Suspect was located and taken into Protective Custody. Suspect was hospitalized at this time.

From: 07/29/2015 5:00pm To: 07/29/2015 10:00pm 18000 Westhampton Suspect(s) through a rock through an interior door glass to gain entry into the interior of her home from the rear porch. Victim stated that she left her home at approximately 5:00pm and did not set her alarm. Victim stated that she returned home at 10:00pm and discovered that someone had entered her home through a rear window on her porch and left it standing open. Victim advised that the porch window was not locked and was not damaged. A neighbor stated she observed two young men in her back yard but couldn t provide any further description. One of the suspect(s) appears to have cut himself from the broken glass upon entry into residence. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens that have alarms on their residence should always activate their alarms when leaving residence. 07/30/2015 2:26am 21000 Greenview Rd. Front door was forced open. Officers responded to the 21000 Block of Greenview on a report of a Home Invasion just occurred. Upon arrival, Officers were advised by the home owner that she heard a crashing sound and observed 3 males attempting to force the door open on residence. Damage was observed and Officers observed two males in the area. A K-9 track was initiated by a Southfield K-9 Officer. K-9 eventually flushed out the suspects from where they were hiding and they were observed by Officers on the perimeter crossing over 8 Mile Rd. into Detroit. Two suspects were located and taken into custody. K-9 continued to track and a third suspect was later taken into custody after a foot pursuit. K-9 also located several articles of clothing and a backpack that suspects had discarded during their attempt to escape. It appears that the suspects involved in this Home Invasion may be the same as the suspects in the earlier Home Invasion in the 18000 Block of Westhampton and also the Home Invasion in the 21000 Block of Avon Ln.

07/30/2015 8:44am 21000 Avon Ln. Rear door was pried open. Victim returned home at 8:44am and discovered Home Invasion. Victim advises nothing appears to be missing from the residence. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician processed the scene, developed a latent lift and developed a casting of a tennis shoe impression that was located in the soil at scene. On a later date Southfield Detectives interviewed two suspects that were arrested for the Home Invasion committed in the 21000 Block of Greenview. Both suspects made admissions to committing other Home Invasions.

07/30/2015 12:30pm 23000 Providence Dr. (Apartments) Lock on Apartment Door was broken. Victim stated on Thursday July 30, 2015@12:30pm his ex-girlfriend broke the lock on his door, entered his apartment and stole his cellular phone. A janitor saw her running down the stairs from his apartment. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. Automobile Thefts: 07/27/2015 9:37am 07/27/2015 8:01am Date/Time Address (block range) Year, Make, Model Details 30000 Brentwood St. 26000 Central Park Blvd. (Hotel) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer CHRYSLER Model PACIFICA Color SIL - Silver or Aluminum Vehicle Year 2004 Body Style State MI License Year 2015 MINIVAN Status RS- Recovered Stolen Manufacturer Kia Model Optima Color GRY - Gray Vehicle Year 2015 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State IL License Year 2016 Victim stated her vehicle was stolen sometime between Sunday July 26, 2015@ 9:30am & Monday July 27, 2015@ 7:30pm the vehicle was parked in front of the address. Officers observed vehicle parked near front office at the Hotel. Officers ran the plate on vehicle and it came back stolen out of a neighboring state. There were two subjects standing near the vehicle and then were observed walking towards the registration office. Officers investigated the two males and two females that were later determined to be with the males. All the subjects were from Ohio and stated they came to this Hotel because it had a pool? The subjects couldn t explain why they couldn t find a hotel with a pool in Ohio? No damage was observed to vehicle, the ignition was intact and the keys were in it. The vehicle was impounded and the subjects were released at this time pending further investigation.

07/29/2015 10:06am 27000 Northwestern Hwy. (Hotel) Status RS Recovered Stolen Manufacturer BMW Model 328I Color LBL - Light Blue Vehicle Year 2008 Body Style State MI Description 2dr Sedan Officer s while on patrol observed vehicle with its widow s open, parked in the Hotel parking lot. Officer ran the plate on vehicle and it came back stolen. Officers were unable to locate any possible person(s) associated with the vehicle. The vehicle was impounded. Tips: Never leave your vehicle running unattended Park in areas where your vehicle is viewable if possible Use commercially available security devices

Victim locked the doors but left the window cracked about 3-4 inches. Victim left her purse in the back seat and covered it up with clothing. Victim returned to the vehicle around 4:30pm and discovered the vehicle was unlocked. Victim checked the backseat and discovered her purse was gone. From: 07/29/2015 5:45pm To: 07/30/2015 6:30am 23000 Civic Center Dr. (Residential- Apartments) Bug Defector was taken from 2012 GMC Acadia. Victim states sometime between 5:45pm and the following morning at 6:30am someone took the Bug Deflector from the front of his vehicle.

07/31/2015 5:25am 24000 W Ten Mile Rd. (Residential- Apartments) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2015 Ford Taurus. Officers were dispatched on report of a Cadillac and a Blue Mini Van pushing a vehicle in the apartment complex. The Cadillac and Mini Van were located by Officers at Ten Mile & Telegraph. When Officers attempted to stop the vehicles both vehicles fled from Officers. Officers pursued the vehicles to the area of Grand River & Telegraph where Officers lost sight of the vehicles. It was discovered that the vehicle suspects were pushing 2015 Ford Taurus had All Four Wheels & Tires taken. Officers were able to obtain the license plate on one of the suspect vehicles. A suspect has been developed and incident is under investigation.

08/01/2015 12:20am 8 Mile & Lahser Rd. (Commercial-Gas Station) Purse with contents was taken. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Females traveling alone at night should never trust a stranger. Victim stated that when she exited the store an unknown B/M approached her and engaged in conversation why she was out at night by herself. The suspect seemed concerned about victim s safety and offered to follow victim to a gas station in Southfield to get gas. The victim took suspects offer and he followed her to the gas station in Southfield. Victim pumped her gas and went inside to pay for the gas. When victim returned to her vehicle her purse was gone and so was the suspect. The suspect was driving a 2008-2009 Pearl White Cadillac. Weight 200 Notes LAST SEEN WEARING A WHITE TANK TOP, BLUE JEANS. 08/01/2015 8:59am 17000 Bonstelle Ave Laptop Computer was taken from victims 2013 Honda Accord. Victim stated her work laptop computer was stolen out of her vehicle sometime between Friday July 31, 2015@ 10:00pm & Saturday August 1, 2015@8:3am. It s unknown how entry was gained, no damage or signs of forced entry.

08/01/2015 1:11am 17000 Westover Rd. Cashier s Check, Cash, Car Keys, & House Keys were taken. Victim states he came home from a Poker Game in neighboring community. When he got out of his vehicle he noticed a subject standing on the street near his residence. Victim stated he went into his house to pick up a pair of shoes and went to the bathroom. When victim came back out to his car his bag was missing along several other items. The victim states he left to go look for the subject that was standing on the corner. (Assuming he took items) The victim also states he drove back to the house where the Poker Game was to drop something off and told his friends what happened. The victim was not forthcoming with information about the suspect or why he had to go back to the house where the Poker Game was to drop something off?

From: 08/02/2015 4:00pm To: 08/04/2015 7:45pm 28000 Franklin Rd. (Residential- Apartments) License Plate was taken from 1999 Ford Ranger. Victim states his License Plate was stolen from his 1999 Ford Ranger P.U. No suspect information. Tips: Ensure your vehicle is locked at all times and valuables are out of sight. Thieves wait for the right time and will move quickly Even if playing sports at a park ensure your vehicle is locked

Be on the Look Out Highlights: Special Attention- Felonious Assault 07/31/2015 12:57am 25000 Block of W. Eight Mile Rd. (Residential- Apartments) Victim stated that she was visiting a male friend. Victim stated that the friend was intoxicated and became very angry when she refused sexual advances. Victim was able to push suspect off of her and at some point the male friend produced a handgun and pointed it at her. Victim fled the apartment and called the police. The suspect fled prior to Officers arrival. Suspect has been identified and incident is under investigation. Arrests by SPD Officers: Home Invasions- 3- Arrests From: 07/29/2015 5:00pm To: 07/29/2015 10:00pm As a result of the arrests for the Home Invasion on Greenview it was discovered that the suspects were also responsible for two additional Home Invasions. 1-21000 Block of Greenview Rd. 2-18000 Block of Westhampton 3-21000 Block of Avon Ln. Several Southfield Officers and Detectives were involved in this Investigation & Arrest. Great Work by everyone involved. See details above in Home Invasion Section.

Attempt Murder/ Aggravated Felonious Assault 1- Arrest 07/30/2015 05:27 22000 Block of Chatsford Circuit Several Southfield Officers responded to Auto Theft in progress. While in route Officers were updated that it was a repossession of the vehicle in progress and the owner of the vehicle has shot the person attempting to repossess his vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and discovered the Repossession Person had been shot. The owner of the vehicle was located and was taken into custody for Attempt Murder. The victim was treated and transported by Southfield FD Paramedics to the Hospital.

OWI- 1- Arrest Greenfield Rd. & JL Hudson Dr. Officer was dispatched to Greenfield Rd. /JL Hudson Dr. regarding an OWI driver. Upon his arrival Officer located the suspect vehicle and the suspect attempted to flee on foot. Officer caught up to suspect and took him into custody. Suspect was subsequently arrested for OWI 2 nd and R&O.
