Item 233-36 Toronto to France to Spain 1930, 2 Scroll booklet single tied by Toronto machine cancel on cover to France with American Express Co forwarding label to Hotel Ritz, Barcelona, Spain. Great final destination. $85.00 Item 233-37 16 postage due in Alliston Ont 1975, DND application receipt card mailed unpaid from Borden Ontario to Alliston with 16 postage due (stamps tied). $15.00

Item 233-38 to RCN in Ceylon 1942, 3 Mufti tied by Montreal Enlist Now slogan (in French) on cover with large and seldom seen Post Office Maritime Mail handstamp to RCN in Colombo Ceylon. Redirected to HMS Emerald and HMCS Stadacona. Sub Lt Gordon McGibbon was an engineer in the RCN and sent out to Ceylon aboard HMS Emerald (D66) a light cruiser. The Emerald was tasked to the Indian Ocean where she escorted troop convoys to the middle east. In December 1941, Emerald joined the Eastern Fleet as part of the Fast Group and in March 1942, was flagship. McGibbon was transferred to HMCS Stadacona which was a prison ship based at Halifax. McGibbon died in Barrie Ontario in 1990. A letter from Reeves Jewellers is enclosed and relates to an unpaid repair, the charges and if not called for, the watch will be sold in order to recover the wages. Etc.
