NETWORK FOR TSUNAMI ACEH INC ABN : 45 941 340 755 PO Box 374 Parkholme, South Australia 5043 http://www.networkfortsunamiaceh.com/ Objectives As a result of the devastating earthquake and tsunami on 26 December 2004 off the coast of Aceh hundreds of thousands of people lost their lives and many hundreds of thousands became homeless survivors and orphans. Many people, particularly the children as the future of Aceh, continue to be in genuine and serious need of help. To give aid to the children affected by the tsunami disaster in the Indonesian province of Aceh and the surrounding regions the Indonesian and Australian communities and other interested people in South Australia, in partnership with an Aceh based network, on 1 January 2005 established an umbrella, non-profit organisation called the Network for Tsunami Aceh Incorporated (NTA Inc) to collect money and goods to fund immediate and long term charitable activities. NTA Inc programs includes fundraising, child sponsorship and the NTA Learning Centre in Aceh. South Australian members Aceh partners Australian Indonesian Association of SA Inc (AIASA) Yayasan NTA which Radio Indonesia South Australia (RISA); comprises a team of Indonesian Student Association of SA (PPIASA); Acehnese people Balinese Community of SA; supporting children at Indonesian Minang Community; Banda Aceh, Indonesian Muslim Community of South Australia (MIIAS); Siron, Indonesian Youth Muslim Association (IRISA); Sigli, Indonesian Teachers Association (INTAN); Ujung Batee, Indonesian South Sulawesi Community (KKSS); Bada, Indonesian Christian Community (KKI); Lhokseumawe Indonesian Muslim Intellectual Association (ICMI); Carry for Kids Inc Several non-organisational individual people.
