London Gatwick to campus 1. By train to campus - The campus is located in a village called Falmer - Catch train from Gatwick airport to Brighton station (you can check train times at www.nationalrail.co.uk) - Once at Brighton station, you will change trains, taking a train from Brighton station to Falmer station - At Falmer station, if you arrive between 10am-7:30pm on 20 June or 10am-5:30pm on 19 July*, you can use our Meet and Greet service, which will take you to Northfield Social Centre to check-in (please note you can buy a ticket from Gatwick to Falmer, this will cover the train change in Brighton) - A one-way train ticket from Gatwick airport to Falmer station will cost about 9.80, and will take between 20 and 40 minutes, depending on the route - *If you are arriving outside of Meet and Greet times, you can travel from Brighton station to campus either by train or by taxi. - If you travel by train, please see maps 3 & 8 for directions and instructions. - A taxi rank is located outside the Brighton train station. The taxi will need to take you to York House 24-hour reception on the University of Sussex campus, in order to pick up your keys. Follow map 3 for directions from York House to your accommodation.
2. By coach - Catch coach from Gatwick airport to Pool Valley coach station in Brighton (you can check times and book your coach ticket at www.nationalexpress.co.uk) - Once at Pool Valley coach station, if you arrive between 9:30am-7:30pm on 20 June*, you can use our Meet and Greet service, which will take you to Northfield Social Centre to check in. Please note that this is a shuttle service, and might involve some waiting time. It takes about 25 minutes to get to the campus from the coach station. - A coach ticket from Gatwick airport to Pool Valley coach station will cost about 10, and takes about 1 hour - Note: our Meet and Greet service with only run on 20 June - *If you are arriving outside of these times, please see maps 4-8 for directions and instructions. You can either take a bus or a taxi to get to the campus
3. Falmer station to York House 24-hour reception - If you arrive to Falmer train station (A) outside of our Meet and Greet service times, you will need to walk from the station to York House 24-hour reception (B) to pick up your keys - It takes about 12 minutes to walk from the station to York House - From York House, you will need to walk to Northfield residences. Please see map 8 for directions
4. Pool Valley coach station to taxi rank on East Street - If you arrive to Pool Valley coach station (A) outside of our Meet and Greet service times, you can catch a taxi from the taxi rank on East Street (B) - The taxi will need to take you to York House 24-hour reception on the University of Sussex campus, in order to pick up your keys - Taxi will cost about 15 and will take about 25 minutes - After you pick up your keys from York House, you will need to walk to Northfield residences. Please see map 8 for directions (alternatively you can ask the taxi to wait, but make sure that there are no queues in York House, to avoid high taxi charges)
5. Pool Valley coach station to bus stop F at Old Steine - If you arrive to Pool Valley coach station (A) outside of our Meet and Greet service times, you can catch bus 25 from Old Steine (bus stop F)(B) to campus - A one-way bus ticket from Old Steine to campus will cost about 2.25 and will take about 35 minutes - Please see maps 6-8 for further directions and instructions
6. Take bus 25 from bus stop F, depart at Park Village bus stop - Bus 25 will take you to campus. You will need to depart the bus at Park Village bus stop and walk to York House 24-hour reception to pick up your keys. - Please see maps 7-8 for further directions and instructions
7. Park Village bus stop to York House - Depart bus 25 at Park Village bus stop (A) and walk (2 minutes) to York House (B) to pick up your keys - See map 8 for further directions and instructions
8. York House to Northfield social centre - Walk from York House (A) to Northfield residences (B), it will take you about 5 minutes
