Update from David Owen Things are progressing for the Nationals 2017, but still we need input from you, the membership, asto what you wish it to be: without your input it will only be a fraction of what it could be. So far the plan is: Meet and greet on the Friday afternoon onwards, with a barbeque at the airfield Friday evening. Saturday- breakfast at the airfield and food and drinks available throughout the day. There will be flying challenges including a crosscountry treasure hunt- more information to follow aswe get closer. If enough interest is forthcoming, then we are hoping to have a small minibus available to take a group on a wine tour of McLaren Vale or Langhorne Creek wine region. Ideal for those partnerswho would not prefer to hang around the airfield all day and like to explore. Expressionsof interest are essential. Simply enjoy the unspoilt beaches and swim in the crystal-clear water of Horseshoe Bay; walk or cycle the Encounter Bikeway. Saturday evening could be an evening of good food and entertainment at the Goolwa Wharf. Again, ex pressionsof interest needed to reserve space during this busy period. Sunday -breakfast at the airfield and then a fly/drive out to a picturesque location on the Fleurieu Penin sula for a lunch and presentation of prizes and awards as the 2017 Nationalsofficial proceedings conclude. Following lunch, everybody would be free to explore the region.we would of course be around to help guide and advise on thingsto see and do. Come along and help make the 2017 Nationals a vintage event!
