DAY 1: USA - FRANCE Fly overnight to Paris. DAY 2: PARIS Upon arrival in Paris, your French Forum Tour Manager will greet you at the airport and remain with you throughout your tour in France. Transfer by private motor coach to your hotel and drop off your bags. This afternoon, stroll down the most famous avenue of the capital, the Champs-Elysées. Climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe to admire the view and see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. You will walk through le Trocadéro and view la Ville Lumière from the third floor of the Eiffel Tower. Have dinner at a local restaurant and enjoy a night stroll of the illuminated Paris on your way back to the hotel. DAY 3: PARIS This morning, discover the Musée du Louvre, home to many of the Western Civilization s most famous masterpieces, including the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci. Then, your tour manager will take you to the Latin Quarter to visit the Sorbonne University. In 1253, a college for 16 poor students who wanted to study theology was created at Louis IX s request. It became the Sorbonne as Robert de Sorbon, the king s confessor, gave his name to the school. Visit the Palais du Luxembourg, home to the Senate, the upper house of the French Parliament. Built in 1625 by Salomon de Brosse for Queen Marie of Médicis, the Palais du Luxembourg was a residence for the Royal Family. Dine in the Latin Quarter before returning to your hotel. DAY 4: PARIS - MADRID Today, visit a local boulangerie. This tour offers a great and rare opportunity to step into the kitchen of a typical Parisian boulangerie and see how the famous French baguettes are made! Later, you will visit the magnificent Musée d Orsay and its extensive collections of 19th and 20th century paintings, sculptures, architecture and literature. Transfer by private motor coach to the airport to fly to Madrid. Your Spanish Forum Tour Manager will greet you at the airport. A private motor coach will pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. Dinner and overnight accommodation in Madrid. DAY 5: MADRID This morning after breakfast, meet your local guide and enter the Museo Del Prado, one of the top three museums in the world. Admire its collection of Spanish paintings. See masterpieces by Goya and Velazquez, including Las Meninas. Enjoy some free time for lunch in Madrid s largest park: El Retiro. Continue with a visit to the Royal Palace - an immense 18th century palace twice the size of Buckingham Palace and one of the most beautiful in Europe. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight accommodation at your hotel in Madrid.
DAY 6: MADRID After breakfast, go with your tour manager on a walking tour of Old Madrid, explore the 16th and 17th century narrow streets around the famous Plaza Mayor and the Puerta del Sol, the official center of Spain. The rest of the day is free for you to discover the city at your own pace. Catch up on some last-minute souvenir-shopping or enjoy a cup of coffee in the beautiful Plaza Mayor. Dinner at a local restaurant and overnight accommodation at your hotel in Madrid. DAY 7: MADRID - SEVILLA This morning we will board the AVE high-speed train to Sevilla, capital of Andalucía. Meet your local guide and discover Plaza de España and the Santa Cruz Quarter. Enter the cathedral and climb to the top of the Giralda Tower. Visit the Alcázar, this fascinating palace was the primary residence for 11 centuries worth of monarchs due to its architectural beauty. After some free time for lunch, enjoy a guided tour of the Museo del Baile Flamenco followed by a flamenco class (45min.). Finally, see the professionals in action with an authentic flamenco show. Have dinner in a local restaurant after the show. Overnight accommodation in Sevilla. DAY 8: SEVILLA - GRANADA Today after breakfast, you will drive to Granada. Upon arrival, you will visit the magnificent Alhambra. Enjoy a guided tour through the Alcazaba (the fort), the Generalife (gardens), Charles V s Palace, and the Nasrid Palaces. Have some free time for lunch. Explore the Albaycin quarter, across the gorge from la Alhambra. Walk up through la calle de las teterias up to the Mirador San Nicolas. Enjoy the amazing view of the Alhambra palace and the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the distance. Dinner and night accommodation in Granada. DAY 9: GRANADA - MÁLAGA After breakfast, you will depart to Málaga, capital de la Costa del Sol. Check in at your hotel in Málaga and then stretch your legs during a guided tour of the city. Walk to the iconic Plaza de la Merced and see Picasso s birthplace. The rest of the day is yours to spend as you wish; discover the lively town center or enjoy some sun at the beach. Farewell paella dinner on the beach and overnight accommodation in Málaga. DAY 10: MÁLAGA - USA Today after breakfast, transfer to the airport and catch your flight(s) back home!
