DAY 3 Taormina - Siracusa Buffet Breakfast and visit to Syracuse, birthplace of the mathematician Archimedes. Enter the ARCHAEOLOGICAL SITE for a guided visit of the 5th century BC sparkling-white Greek Theater, the Garden of Paradise, the Ear of Dionysus, the Altar of Hieron II, the Roman Amphitheater, and the Cordmakers' Cave. Tonight, enjoy a Dinner with wine in the enchanting Ortigia district. Overnight in Siracusa. (B,D) DAY 4 Siracusa-Noto-Ragusa Buffet Breakfast and departure to visit the baroque town of Noto, renowned for its beautiful historic center that was almost entirely rebuilt in the early 18th century following the 1693 earthquake. A local guide will take us for a walk along Corso Vittorio Emanuele to admire the magnificent architecture, and visit SAN NICOLÒ CATHEDRAL. Then on to Ragusa for overnight. Villa Romana del Casale Piazza Armerina DAY 7 Agrigento-Sciacca-Marsala Buffet Breakfast and visit to Agrigento. Here, your local guide will take you for a spectacular walk through the magnificent VALLEY OF THE TEMPLES. Even travelers who have visited Athens and Delphi are awed by the gigantic yet graceful Greek structures that miraculously survived 24 centuries of tormented history. Later we depart for Sciacca to take pictures of this quaint town, its harbor and its Cathedral. Then, we continue on to the famous town of Marsala to visit a Wine Cellar and have a WINE TASTING. Palermo DAY 9 Palermo-Monreale - Cefalu Buffet Breakfast and guided sightseeing of Palermo visiting the ornate Piazza Bellini, Capo Market, the baroque Church of Immacolata, and the CATHEDRAL. Travel to Monreale to enjoy a panoramic view of the Conca d'oro and a visit to the 12th-century NORMAN CATHEDRAL, famous for its 50,000 square feet of precious byzantine mosaics. In the afternoon we continue on to visit the town of CEFALU where we will have a nice Farewell Dinner with wine in a local restaurant. Overnight in Palermo.
