Invitation The biannual Craniomaxillofacial surgery course (CMF) will be held from 29 30 September and 1 October 2017 at the Hilton Hotel Queenstown New Zealand. It has been run several times in the past and has been very well received by the participants. This year the faculty will include: Mr Charles Davis, Mr Jonathon Burge, Ms Susan O Mahony, Dr Ian Hewson and Mr Charles Baillieu. The course is fast and furious and will run over two and a half days and is intended to cover all of the craniomaxillofacial surgery topics that can be reasonably be expected to be examined in the fellowship examination of the plastic and reconstructive surgery training program. It is not intended to provide subspecialist training for craniomaxillofacial surgeons who have already achieved their plastic surgery fellowship. Topics covered will follow the Module 2 curriculum for plastic surgery program FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS COURSE HAS BEEN RECOGNIZED AND CONTENT ENDORSED BY BOTH AUSTRALIAN SOCIETY OF PLASTIC SURGEONS (ASPS) AND NEW ZEALAND ASSOCIATION OF PLASTIC SURGEONS (NZAPS) There are limited spots for 50 participants with priority for accredited trainees of the Australian and New Zealand plastic surgery training programs. Non accredited plastic surgery registrars and residents are welcome to apply but preference will be given to accredited trainees. Late September is a beautiful time to visit Central Otago, and the ski season is often still underway. The sun has returned to the South Island, and the fishing is excellent. Whilst the course does not allow for any spare time, it may be a good opportunity to bring the family and stay for a little longer. Accommodation & Transportation Attendees will need to provide their own accommodation and transport. The conference will be held at the Hilton Hotel Queenstown New Zealand. The Hilton Hotel is well located adjacent to Queenstown Airport and has ready access to ski fields, wineries, excellent day walks and bike riding. Late September is a great time to be there with plenty of snow and sunshine. Water taxis and road taxis allow easy transport to and from central Queenstown and hotels or other accommodation.
