Aviation Industry in Indonesia

Domestic demand on aviation professional Garuda Indonesia will be seeking 1500 pilots to add to its growing fleet from 80 to 154 aircraft before joining Open Skies 2015 Lion Air will require over 300 pilots every year up to 2025. After signing the largest ever order with Boeing, Lion Air will have a total aircraft fleet of 408 by 2025. Indonesia s total of 50 airlines is all experiencing a major shortage of skilled aviation professionals. Before 2015, Indonesia requires immediately additional over: 4.000 pilots 7500 aircraft engineer 1.000 ATC

Domestic supply on aviation professional Pilot Input 2012, Indonesia has 4000 pilots Indonesia is only able to produce ± 300 pilots per year (from 13 institution, 30 people/year/institution) ATC Input 2012, Indonesia has 1200 ATC Personnel There are only four institutions that able to produce GAP Indonesian s existing human resources of aviation industry are not yet ready High market demand indicated by the growing number of commercial aircraft and driven by the ASEAN policy of open skies policy 300 pilots needed each year 600 ATC Personnel needed each year
