Spiral Slides Beautifully designed and constantly improved, American Playground Spiral Slides are the hallmark of every playground. These unique slides represent the industry standard for quality, durability and enjoyment. American Playground Spiral Slides are crafted from aluminum with high outer walls and deep spirals for maximum safety. Unitized construction eliminates ill-fitting, often dangerous mechanical connections. Spiral Slides require a minimum of playground space while providing the most exciting fun. Slide chutes feature 5.500 O.D. masts, spacious approach areas reinforced with stainless steel scuff plates, rolled outer safety rails and one-piece chutes. Stairways are steel, zinc coated for rust protection, and then colored to match the chute. Standard color scheme is as shown, but custom coloring is available. Chute bedways are 18 gauge mirror finish stainless steel rigidly secured to 4 deep D shaped chute siderails by expansion screws spaced 3 apart. The bedway is then strongly reinforced by 3 wide battens spaced every 14.
